33887,33888 and 33889 all visible on Bradford Depot this morning. Legals still say First Games Transport as they do on those at Bramley.
Why does it take so long to put valuable new assets to work when older buses need replacing:e.g. how long did the E200 remain idle at Belle Isle awaiting entry into service?
Regards
Gary

Regards Gary The Belle Isle E200s were awaiting all to be delivered, and drivers to be trained (and was, I believe, actually launched slightly earlier than planned) The First E400s are probably all having pre service exams to get them into the 21/28 day cycle, and also will be awaiting fitment of Ticket Machine bases, radios etc, which will no doubt be coming off withdrawn vehicles.

the new streetlites for Huddersfield will seat B37F Hi Michael, are these new streetlite's for Hudds, the same spec/type as the ones you've recently had delivered in your area?. I've seen a few of these on 350?. What are they like?. As bad as they look, or are they OK?.

There is a notice up on the Board at Bramley Gararge saying that the new Alexander Dennis - Enviro 400's will be used on route 49 starting from September 1st.

Oh to see a notice up at Bow Beck in Bradford with a similar sentiment. Even the 13 saloons allocated to Bradford were diverted first and then not all of them appeared. Still we'll be grateful for any 2000 reg ALX 400s you can spare us. And yes Kendall, AGAIN. Surely most right minded folk think the First West Yorkshire favouritism to Leeds sucks

Solution is leave it a little bit longer before closing the doors.

Surely most right minded folk think the First West Yorkshire favouritism to Leeds sucks Maybe as bus enthusiast's in Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax etc, we probably are a little peeved to see Leeds get a near yearly allocation of new buses and we get nowt. However i don't believe it's favouritism towards Leeds, it's just a question of simple economics. Leeds being the largest urban conurbation in West Yorkshire, having the largest population, therefore the largest number of bus users (statistically), obviously making FWY more money than the other towns & city's in West Yorkshire. Therefore putting new buses in at Leeds is a surefire way to maximise profits for First, whereas it could be seen as a bit of a gamble allocating new buses to the other places in West Yorkshire where bus usage/patronage isn't quite so high. I'm aware there's an argument for investing in new buses to attract custom (sprat to catch mackerel), but given that the overwhelming majority of journey's made in West Yorkshire by First are done by low-floor DDA compliant buses then that argument goes out of the window, as First have fulfilled their obligation. It's only us "enthusiast's" who whinge about it anyway, as Joe public couldn't give a toss whether their bus is a 14 plate or 04 plate, just so long as they get a seat to work, benefit's office, pub or STD clinic.

Didn't see my name mentioned originally, but very well answered! Anyhow an Enviro looked very well this morning at Monkswood terminus.

Went on 33879 on the 49. Also 33875 was on 50. I saw 33380 & 33890 with no desty on even not showing up on side or back so I don't know if they're on 49s or 50/50As. I'm planning to sample 1 today even though I sampled similar batch in Rusholme, Manchester. Sent from my GT-I8190N using proboards

I remember 37715 driving with no destination on 49/50 at Harehills Road brand new back in 2009 as well. Lol

All 18 Enviros are out, all 49 boards have an Enviro with remainder on 50/50A. There does appear to be a problem on some of them with intermittent destination failure.
