Of note, Ive not seen the Omnicity for a few days, but an E200 (KX59?) was seen with a Tates fitter crawling underneath it earlier this morning in WBS.

Unless it is published in the local paper you would normally have to wait until "notice and proceedings" for the NE Traffic Area are published on line and in hard copy. These are normally produced every 2/3 weeks it should be around the end of the month. The previous N&P was published a day or two before the Tate's hearing

A query have Tates got a single decker in white with a green rear end, saw one heading towards Hall Green round about the time for the 97 today?

Tates appear to be using an MPD SF04HXN (in all over white with red skirt) this evening. It was sat in Wakefield BS with an A4 piece of paper in the windscreen. Penfold Tates are still running this one complete with its DP seats, it still looks really tidy, I had to check thought it might be a new addition given its condition in Wakefield this morning. It couldn't last though a 12 plate with TAT in the letter spaces looked rather worse for wear, even the repaired skirt panels had been damaged before they got painted, given some sharp edges it even looked dangerous, what a contrast when an identical Ross Travel example followed TAT out of Wakefield Bus Station. Some operators can run exceptionally presentable buses then there is Tates

Some operators can run exceptionally presentable buses then there is Tates I don't see Tates vehicles that often. I was in Wakefield the other week and saw a couple of Darts. They were a disgrace, this operator has to have the worst turned out vehicles I have seen in a long time. Dirty, many damaged panels, different coloured panels, what a mess they looked. Not surprisingly very few passengers on them. One of them tried to do a u turn using the mini roundabout outside the bus station. I could see that wasn't a good idea as it was quite a long Dart. The driver ended up blocking the whole road then couldn't get it in gear! Took a few minutes to get it pointing the right way!

THE owner of a heavily criticised bus firm has urged residents in Cudworth and Shafton to give it another chance after a year of missed services. Scott Woolley, who has recently taken over Tates Travel, told the Chronicle that the Barugh Green-based operator has opted to reduce its South Yorkshire-wide services from 39 to 22 buses in an attempt to improve punctuality. www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/news/article/11591/bus-firm-owner-asks-for-new-start
