I was told the other day by a Belle Isle driver that there is a Dart at Belle Isle from another Arriva company being stripped for spares with no reg plate on front. He was going to have a look to see if the rear plate was there & let me know the id but I haven't seen him yet. I bet this is the dumped Dart.

The Dart is believed to be S613KHN which has been heavily stripped. The only identifiable markings (all others removed) are the fleet number 1613.

Wasn't it discussed when Arriva won work in York, that they were ordering new Solo's for the job?

639 rides again (well not in service yet!) and is back at Hecky! That's good then, Wonder if there will be any more resurrected from the dead. I know most of the batch have gone for scrap, but maybe there's more than just these two that can be made servicable.

I don't think any of the Step Spectras have gone for scrap a couple of the earlier withdrawals might have had the odd parts removed but with the exception of 640 and 641 which moved north and 637 and 639 the rest are still parked up at Belle Isle

Thanks for the above, So from that i gather none of the step-spectra's were sold to JPT Middleton then?. I know i've seen it reported somewhere on this forum that JPT were to purchase some.

From what I gathered JPT (who are apparently struggling financially) didnt come up with the money and the deal fell through. They ended up acquiring some ex Arriva the Shires Olympians instead. Thanks for explaining that, penfold. It makes sense as JPT are renowned for being a bit "budget" with their operations.

Arriva Selby will be receiving 4 Optare Solo SR's very soon for the 24, 26 and 27 work in York (also probably seen on other routes).
