At least two of the new Solo SRs were in service in York today, although I'm pretty sure I also saw at least one white Solo. Didn't catch fleet numbers or get any photos, I'm afraid.

All 4 were working in York today
3050 YD63 VDF, 3051 YD63 VDG, 3052 YD63 VGJ and YD63 VGK.
For some reason 3051 did an early trip on 42 York-Selby-York before being replaced in York by Dart 261

Does anyone know what's up with the Geminis? I don't think there's been a day gone by recently where at least one bus on the 415/416 has been from elsewhere in the fleet. If you're lucky (and no more than 5'6") it's an ALX400 – sometimes it's been an Enviro, which is OK if it isn't too busy but has a tendency to run out of seats – but most of the time it's one of their godawful Presidents, which were woefully under-specced when new and are totally inadequate for a service like that. After a 45 minute ride on one of those, you'll need as long again to recover from the numb bum and tinnitis. I usually stand, even if there are seats available, it's more comfortable!
Are there any plans to pension off these monstrosities in the near future?

There were two Enviros on 415/6 on Friday, while a 415 branded Gemini was parked up outside in the yard, while another was seen leaving Selby for Goole and no sign of unbranded 1507.

637 at Selby and 1507 at Dewsbury I thought Selby were using non-Geminis on the 415/6 on a regular basis, this won't help. Will 637 be seeing a lot of York during the week while 651 is used to replace 1507

Where is 1451 based, is it still at Dewsbury or did it go back to Castleford?

There's pretty much always at least one President (unfortunately), and often an Enviro 200, an ALX400 isn't unknown, and I saw a Spectra for the first time today. So much for the premium service with route-branded buses

Another small note is that 639 recently spent four days at Selby covering for an unavailable President, but returned to Heckmondwike last Friday and has since re-entered service, mainly seeing use on 256's.

Spectra 632 has arrived at Heckmondwike and is apparently being prepared for use. I believe the plan is to keep this and 639 in service whilst the 1900's go off for refurbishment, but this could change.

Arriva Wakefield and Castleford are getting 28 new ADL Enviro 200 starting from June. 20 to Wakefield and 8 to Castleford.
They will feature free wifi, e-leather seats and a special livery.

Wonder if Castlefords allocation of the new E200's will include one with a fleet number ending in a '7' digit, so they can keep the TWY 7 plate when '167' leaves the fleet. I've grown up with that plate for as long as i can remember, from the days of South Yorkshire's PD2 number 79, then onto their Olympian 107, and then onto West Riding/Arriva's ALX200 '167'. Would be such a shame to discard it as it's been on the road for 50+ years. Something for the powers that be at Belle Isle offices to think about.

Oops! My mistake (before i get corrected). The 'South Yorkshire Motors PD2 that originally had the TWY 7 plate, was fleet number 80, not 79. '79' was TWY 6.

The Gemini's have some so called virus Is that technical speak for nobody know why they won't go or keep failing. Hope its contained at Selby or the rest of Arriva Yorkshire could be paralysed. Next we will hear it is the Bus equivalent of Asian Bird Flu brought in on a King Long!!!!!!

I heard yesterday (Metro 40 event) that 632 might be returning to Belle Isle looks like there is too much work required on that one for it to return to service.

I've heard it today too, did look very tired when seen in Heckmondwike last week.
