Didn't really know which column to put this in, But rather than starting a new one i thought id try this one. Last saturday (am), i noticed a YT Evolution in service on 262, immediately i noticed it had a broken front numberplate, reading E55--- instead of AE55---. I next saw this bus on wednesday (pm) still with the same broken numberplate. Maybe summat and nowt or too trivial to mention to some, But the fact is technically this bus was allowed to run illegally for a number of days. I've no need to go into detail, because most on this forum will know the legalities regarding the correct display of numberplates. But if someone like me, a mere casual observer picked up on it, imagine the consequences if i had been a VOSA inspector. Surely something as blatantly obvious as this should have been picked up by a driver if he did his/her pre-start checks properley, not to mention the fitters based at this depot. Some may think im over-reacting or posting about nothing, but if something obvious like a numberplate can be overlooked, then what about wheelnuts or tyre tread/condition etc. As far as im concerned YT need a kick up the jacksy over this. It's not just a vosa inspector but what if the vehicle was stopped by the police and they decided to give the vehicle a once over.

I heard today, VOSA are after them because of the crash in Halifax, it's the 3rd accident with this bus involving the brakes.

I personally dont think Yorkshire Tiger have reached the depths of "dodgy operator" yet, But if what Matty says above is true, then coupled with my previous post they can hardly claim to have hit the ground running (maintenance wise) with the new company. Issues like these are serious enough to hit public confidence in the brand "Yorkshire Tiger" and like i said in my previous post YT should take a kick in the butt for allowing things like this to happen. I would have expected better from a company now owned entirely by the nations third biggest operator. I cannot recall any post's on this forum regarding maintenance/safety issues when it was HBC/Centrebus Holdings.

Noticed a few Leeds based buses now only showing a route number on the side and no number at the back, only a squiggly line. 666 was one of them on the 757 yesterday and one of the Evoloution Darts on the 62 today.

Yorkshire tiger have started promoting their company now on the destination blinds when not in service. Now displays along the top with "sorry not in service" with scrolls along the bottom "you can now follow us online www.yorkshiretiger.co.uk and twitter" Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards
