Just read on other forums and seems to be major exodus of our vehicles to other first fleets although not confirmed yet. To south yorkshire: 31142-31145 to Rotherham. These buses along with 31146,31147 were originally intended for the South Yorkshire fleet, so in a way they are going to where they should have gone

Where are these other forums? Or is that fora? What would a Regent V look like "refreshed"?

Think it's Wigan and Bolton depots destined to get those Enviro 400's. Was a wild guess. allocation should have been half and half, would have been good to see some first enviro 400s in leeds. Oldham and Bolton are the depots getting the new buses

Oldham and Bolton are the depots getting the new buses It would be brilliant if we can end up travelling in a newish E400 from Manchester to Huddersfield on route 184, then a newish Volvo B9TL to Leeds on route X6!

Ah, something tells me we're getting a batch of B9s what were branded for the 409 then mysteriously de-branded!

Ex-route 409 Volvo B9TLs wouldn't be the same as ex-Olympics leather-seated examples. Unless, plans are afoot to displace all double-decks pre-repainted Volvo B7TL-Geminis with Volvo B9TLs dating from anytime between 2008 and 2012. I think some route 409 examples already had modern livery. Then Olympians could be withdrawn (already touted on Wikipedia) and elderly W-reg Volvo B7TLs could replace Olympians elsewhere, such as East Anglia and Cornwall.
I know B7TLs on routes 1, 6, 28, 42, 97 and 503 for example have been repainted.

Some (if not all) of the B9s on the 409 have been de-branded. Spotted four buses today that had the 409 branding (37412, 37435/6/8), which now has 'Greater Manchester' on the side. So, it may be possible that the Enviros will go onto the 409 and possibly another route like the 83 and B9TLs will be re-allocated elsewhere (be it another Oldham route or another depot).

The ones embarked for First South Yorkshire Olive Grove will see the remaining Olympians off and allow the exLondon darts and some B10BLEs to go to Rotherham which will in turn allow the withdrawal of the remaing Olympians, B6BLEs and SPD Darts based there.

There appears to be one or two discrepencies in all of this. 1) Halifax acquire 3 Volvo Olympians, when the stated aim is to eradicate step entrances in WY and SY, 2) why pick on 32459/60 from the middle of a batch, and send them to two different depots, 3)Although it is commonly stated that 37021-35, and 37103-122 are to go to SY, somebody is going to be rather busy peeling off Leeds vinyl's (tidily) and replacing with Sheffield ones, as is the case with any of the 32692-6 batch for Halifax. According to this list, Hunslet Park are to receive 119 buses, but they are only losing 102. I'm not the worlds best at maths but this does not add up. Why don't we just wait and see, because I should imagine with the amount of schoo;l work that Leeds have lost, there will be other transfers/withdrawals as well.

So Hunslet will be gaining 17 buses more than they loose - 22 of the transfers in are the Hybrids with the 7s, so nothing for them to replace!

Hunslet have lost about 20 buses worth of school contracts, so with the Hybrids, should balance out, rather than go up, unless Hunslet are gaining some other services besides the 7s and Wetherbys as well?

If only I had looked in my post box earlier, I would have seen a publication that may have helped me a little bit. In this publication there is a note that several more of the 324** buses are understood to be cascaded after the games. I had of course forgotten that32453-8 had already gone to Rock Ferry, so 32459 naturally follows on. So, does this mean that in the fullness of time Halifax are to receive 32461-73? Otherwise 32460's transfer is an odd ball. Finally, nobody anywhere have mentioned Bradford, if the eradication is to work then surely their Olympians need ousting as well, not that they have many.

Sorry, forgot, Bradford presumably are losing their allocation on the 72, so I suppose that is 'natural wastage', and should go towards sorting the numbers.
