I wouldn't be so sure. Yes they have bought the Beavers but they have also bought the UVG Darts and there still as they were.
If there spending so much time getting the tempory viynls right them i doubt very much they will see any paint.

Extract from the Yorkshire Line Facebook page:
Jonathan Capehart Finally, we would like to extend our apologies to people in Wakefield for the operational difficulties we have had on the 105 and 106 in recent days. These services will return to normal on Monday ahead of the service changes on May 3rd.
Jonathan Capehart We would also like to extend a warm welcome to all our new passengers on the Asda Killingbeck free bus services which started last week!

They have had 'operational difficulties' since they began running a few months back, how is next week going to be any better for them, does Jonathan have a crystal ball.

So they're going to use step entrance buses on a shopper shuttle for OAPs?

So they're going to use step entrance buses on a shopper shuttle for OAPs? The Delta Thornes Independent used wasn't exactly low floor was it.

While the Delta wasn't low floor, the Vario's do have a considerably higher floor.
That said, the Vario is probably a more fitting size of vehicle given loadings whenever i've seen it. Maybe they got a good price on the merc's and it wasn't worth outlaying additional funds to purchase a solo?

If the supermarket contract doesn't specify low floor, why would you pay extra to buy a low floor?
HJC use step entrance buses on their supermarket contracts.

Because whether a contract specify's low floor or not an operator should always consider how to draw maximum users to the service, and who uses a supermarket service the most, elderly people and mums with prams, all of which would struggle up the steep steps of a Vario!

But surely it up the supermarket to specify low floor buses to make the services more accessible to their customers. Furthermore if Yorkshire Line is being paid a fixed sum to operate the service, there's probably no incentive on the operators behalf to increase patronage.

The supermarket has probably gone for the cheapest price, not realising that a low floor bus could be more benifical.
