As this company is proposing to start new services in January, I thought it would be useful to have a thread where all information can be posted about them. As such, I have found this:
YORKSHIRE LINE LIMITED Director(s): JONATHAN MARK CAPEHART, CHRISTOPHER ERIC WAGHORN, KEVIN ANDREW CARR. MILLFIELD HOUSE, HUDDERSFIELD ROAD, THONGSBRIDGE HOLMFIRTH HD9 3JL Operating Centre: LAND ADJACENT TO NORMANTON STATION, LOWER STATION ROAD , NORMANTON WF6 2BE Authorisation:10 Vehicle(s) and 0 Trailer(s). Transport Manager(s): JOHN EDWARDS
Have any of these directors been involved in any other transport operations in the past? A quick Google search reveals nothing of interest.
On to the services they are going to provide, I think the 53 will do well as Black Prince seemed to do OK on th route and people in Leeds are growing tired of First and their ever increaseing prices and reduction in services.
The X10 should do ok if it follows the Arriva 110 as these buses are always full, although this could just be a positioning move to get buses to and from Leeds for the 53.
I'm not familiar with the other routes so can't really comment on their viability.

With the registration being Mondays to Fridays only, I wonder if the X10 will be peak time journeys only.

Also interesting to note, John Edwards is probably quite a familiar name to the bus industry in Yorkshire... Jedward?

Notice in Jedwards song it says "Like a souped up Tempo" so perhaps that's what Yorkshire line might buy, a couple of Tempo's with big exhausts?

With the registration being Mondays to Fridays only, I wonder if the X10 will be peak time journeys only. After looking at the registrations there are no via points, I'm thinking maybe the PTE has had an input into these routes?

The 'via' points are optional, the data entry staff probably couldn't be bothered to type them in. I wouldn't read anything into it.

I wonder how First will react to the 53 with regards to their 'simple fares'? I've always thought it seems a bit risky as you'd end up breaking it with selected lower fares as soon as any serious competition surfaced, I know that with 10 vehicles YL probably won't operate more frequently than every 30 mins but it could be improved later.

I wonder what buses they will be using??? Old Olympians, Metrobuses & Atlanteans or Solo's & Darts? Isnt there an operator in Halifax, who might be willing to knock out a few of the above cheap?. Or perhaps theyll spend the rest of their days rusting in peace at Thrum Hall, thanks to those pesky chaps at Centrebus holdings.

They are happy running as they are now, they have enough spare buses just incase anything goes wrong, like when the snow came down they got the Metrobuses out on colleges because they are more reliable & can tackle the snow better. The Metrobuses are all in semi preservation now anyway so they are going nowhere. I think Yorkshire Line will end up having a fleet of Dennis Dart SLF's, it wouldn't suprise me anyway.

UVG Bodied Dennis Dart P141 TDL is the first bus to be in the Yorkshire Line fleet, The livery will be plain white with a red skirt that goes up at the back, with Yorkshire line fleetnames on the side.

Interesting that the rancid Dart they have got this "P141 TDL" is a stepper. Surely given the age a Low Floor ex London Dart could of been purchased? I can see this "Yorkshire Line" becoming a interesting but no doubt a short lived history lesson.

Source YBN Sounds like another local livery. that livery been the one of Tate's Travel who operate into Wakefield who have a white bus with blue skirt that goes up at the back but without Yorkshire Line fleetnames on the side

With the way it has been described it sounds exactly the same as Tate's livery, but will be red instead of blue. Example of Tate's livery - btp.fotopic.net/p66260311.html

It should be similar but not quite the same as Tate's. The red section will be more angled starting from the back wheel and going up to the top corner.
