37 cancelled? Geldard's to the rescue?? Nah. I reckon it'll be interworked with an existing route.

The 906 is so good, it's cancelled 3 times!
I wonder if someone else is running it this year, or whether it is just not running at all.
It looks like the tender for the 966/7 has been won by someone else, but these VOSA registrations are often misleading, as the services may be part of another registration somewhere

If it is won by another operator and not VOSA, then could it be Centrebus to tie in with the winning of the 737 and 747 operations. Could we see them setting up a depot in Yeadon or Bradford? Probably not but you never know.

Services 966/7 have been Cancelled due to the airport bus service changes. 2 new routes are been introduced as follows
967 Menston-Otley-Pool-Airport = Half Hourly 969 Guiseley-Westfield-Yeadon-Aiport = Half Hourly
These 2 routes will be operated by the metro connect Solo's that First Bradford currently use on the 737 & 747 routes. New Buses are been aquired by Centrebus for the new houlry operating 737 & 747 routes.
Hope that helps a little.

As disappointed as i am that the 747 is going down to hourly, in all the times i've used/seen it it's never been particularly well loaded

The 5 going to get a 10minute frequency then? How will it work with the 5A etc?

service 5 is going to halton moor and the 86 is doing the 44 route from stanningley road kfc Which looks ok on paper as no roads lose a bus service, but the 86 doesn't run to/from Leeds city centre so it may not be much of a replacement.

So I guess we are going to have to have an 86/86B daytime half hourly service. As with the current 44/44A service they split at Bramley Globe Hotel. One hourly each running via Rodley & Farsley while the other gose via Swinnow and Pudsey to the Owlcotes centers.
Also what happens with the evenings and Sunday 86A services? Will these continue to run on from Bramley Centre and go down to New Farnley or will it switch go via the current 44 off-peak service and run to Pudsey bus station?
First also have another problem here as well. The current off-peak 44 services on an evening and sundays interwork in Leeds city centre with the 90's dont they?

If the 44/44A are getting withdrawn, will that signal the end of a service to/from Leeds for the Owlcotes Centre?

I've never really seen the 44/a full, only say 20 to 30 passengers seen at the most and that's not often.

I can understand the 44/44A being withdrawn as parts of the route are already covered by other services. *Pudsey-Bramley: 91/91A *Farsley-Bramley: 16/16A *Bramley-Leeds: 16/16A, 49 Perhaps First may replace a couple of 16's with a 16A to cover the 44A between Farsley and Bramley (four 16's and two 16A's per hour). Going off VOSA, it's likely that the 86 will be re-routed between Bramley and Armley via Raynville Road. As for the Owlcotes Centre link, either extend an 40 and/or 40A from Pudsey or possible increase the 714 and extend it to Pudsey. Variation Accepted: Operating between Wakefield and Leeds given service number 116/117/481/X7 effective from 26-Apr-2010. To amend Route, Stopping Places and Timetable. PB0000582/57 - ARRIVA YORKSHIRE LTD, 24 BARNSLEY ROAD, WAKEFIELD, WF1 5JX does this mean there bringing back the 116 service Wouldn't have thought so, given that the 129 is on a six month trial since January. Probably just part of the registration which hasn't been updated. Just like the 425/427 still including 422, 423 and 426 and the Wakefield-Holmfirth service being listed as 411/418/424/426

So the people who live on the Raynville Road/bottom of Cockshot lane area are stuffed then if this happens and will have to slum it up the hills to either the centre or Stanningley road to catch a bus to town,i bet the OAP's can't wait to do that... Better make more use of my car then........

I've never really seen the 44/a full, only say 20 to 30 passengers seen at the most and that's not often. The 44A finishes about 2 anyway,it can be busy at times with shoppers from ASDA at Owlcoates as the Bramley Tesco's is poor compared to that and yes i know there's a Morrisons at Kirkstall but if you don't live on the Broad Lanes side you still have slum home the shopping or pay for a taxi..

Hmmm, regarding the 757 I would have thought First would have been the best operator as many people currently use it between Rawdon and Leeds, many of whom have First-specific season tickets. If Centrebus are awarded the contract passenger numbers would probably decrease as these passengers would wait for the 33 instead, therefore affecting the commercial viability of the route. Also, it seems ridiculous not to serve Otley direct from Leeds as now and forcing people to change buses could act as a deterrent as the connection probably would not be guaranteed.

Believe you and me, when the 757 runs late, Otley doesn't get served, It turns around at the Airport. I've seen passengers get turned away when trying to board for Otley in Yeadon and it's also happened to me as well. At least with this new network, residents of Yeadon will have a better chance of getting a direct bus link (changing at the Airport) to Otley rather than the crap option of going round the houses and the Menston selfish car park on the 33A. Also with regards to Otley getting served directly from Leeds, this is provided by the X84. The only possible loosers in the revised network will be Kirkstall and Horsforth before the Fleece as I believe the 757 will be non stop til the Fleece, is this still the case? If so then they'll have a nice round the Guiseley and Menston houses unreliable 33A to use and that's it.
