No apology needed my friend, i appreciate your info so far. I`ve been trying to find their fleet list and so far no fleet list. I know they are going to operate a stage carriage route between Harrogate and Knaresborough and Wetherby sometime soon so just wondered what type of buses they would use and if they needed drivers. I cannot find a website for them either or anyway of contacting them.
As for the Arriva enquiry, i`ll have to email Leadsec for further info.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello Mark,
Thanks ever so much for the information you have supplied, very much appreciated. Dont suppose you happen to know if 21 Transport have a fleet list anywhere do you?. I`m not far from Selby as i live in Altofts so very close to the M62 and A19 junction.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello to anyone who finds this thread and is able to help me.
I`m posting this to ask if anyone knows where the bus company 21 Transport Ltd is based and how many buses they have and what type and also do they do stage carriage and do they have a contact email address?.
My other enquiry was if anyone happened to know which company Arriva Yorkshire use to do all their bus fuelling/washing/sweeping/cleaning etc?. In particular Belle Isle depot ( Wakefield ).
Thanks. Bryan.

Hello leedsrider,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to guide me in the right direction with regards to finding photo`s of the new livery that has been chosen by the 2 truly dedicated directors of Yorkshire Buses ( Yorkshire Travel Group ). I have to say they look outstanding and the livery sure does suit them both. Its nice also to see that colour wise there is a very slight take on the 1990`s colours of Yorkshire Woollen Buses ( Dewsbury and Heckmondwike ).
I would be more than happy and very proud to be driving one of those buses for an 8 hour shift if it was on a dedicated route.
So once again congratulations to both Steve Carr & Pete Penman ( Joint directors ) on their continued good work ethic and for providing people with a truly quality bus service.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello to all,
I was just wondering if anyone had any photo`s of the PL06 single decker bus and the newly painted double decker bus ( I think that one is a Scania Omnidecker ) ?.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello and good afternoon to all.
I`ve really enjoyed reading all the various comments that have been added to my original post and want to genuinely thank all of you.
I`m not giving up hope yet of re joining the bus industry in some type of capacity. Ideally driving but on late turns as in 1pm onwards due to my reallybad sleep patterns or failing that as someone stated finding a role with a dealer or manufacturer which may involve me moving out of the area.
I do realise too that the whole ball game is way different now to what it was in 1992 when i passed my PSV test at Belle Isle Wakefield ( West Riding Buses ). However i`m a very patient and relaxed person and i do adapt extremley well to whatever changes are put my way.
So we shall see...
Bryan.

Hello and good morning to everyone,
I`m posting this simply to get people`s views in general.
So this actually goes out to all the people on here who are Bus or Coach drivers.
Knowing what you know now since you started as a driver in the Bus & Coach industry, if you had your time allover again would you choose the same line of employment?.
For what its worth if ever i got chance again to be a bus driver knowing what i know then hell yeh i sure would. No better feeling than being out on the road and helping people to get from where they are to where they are hoping to be.
If anyone actually finds this, i`ll look forward to any comments.
Cheers, Bryan.

Hello to all,
I was going to post this a few days ago but was not sure what the outcome would be.
So Pete Penman who is one of the 2 directors who own Yorkshire Buses is going to be doing a Charity Skydive on Saturday 5th of August 2023. Its in aid of raising money for a childrens charity and i have already sent a donation towards this very worthy cause.
I was just wondering if anyone else who follows this Yorkshire Buses thread knew about it and if they might be interested in donating towards the cause?.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello NotJoshYouWerLad.
Me and my family would like to thank you for your kind words.
I`d just like to have this noted while i have the chance that my being banned for life from 4 of the operators mentioned was nothing to do with the DR10 i have.
I`ll try and explain again. Southern Vectis ( Isle of Wight ) wont allow me to apply because i had the DR10 applied to start with and they will not employ anyone with any type of Driving criminal code on their licence end of. J&DS Halcrow ( Shetland ) will allow me to apply once the DR10 has expired which is a year from now.
The other companies have banned me due to un precedented circumstances both logistic and health and family fatalities that have occured in recent years. So for me to tell them that i`m guaranteeing it wont happen again and that i`m a changed man wouldn`t really be truthfull as i cannot guarantee that no more family members will die and i cannot guarantee that i`ll be in perfect health everyday for years and years to come and i also cannot guarantee that if i have a car that it wont malfunction at some point thus maki9ng it not possible to attend for my duty as a bus driver.
So there you are, thats about the crux of it.
I`m hoping as are my family that this statement may hopefully make folk on here think differently about me.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello Joseph,
Thanks ever so much for the list of possible companies that i`ll contact.
Hello again deerfold - Hope your keeping well - I dont do arguing as its a very negative and unattractive trait and its just not a healthy or positive vibe to have.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello deerfold,
Good to hear from you. My DR10 expires June 2024, it will have been attached to my licence 11 years by then.
Many Bus & Coach operators are able to accept a person with a DR10 once 5 years have elapsed. Southern Vectis wont employ anyone with a DR10 or any other serious conviction code even when its expired due to the fact that it was actually applied in the first place. J&DS Halcrow ( Shetland ) require the DR10 to be expired and then your good to go so long as you can get to their depot.
The whole point of my initial thread was to simply ask if anyone knew of any bus companies that had a permenant late turn rota due to me not sleeping so well at the moment and that i would struggle with 3am to maybe 11am starts currently, i never said that my sleep pattern would not hopefully improve once i had some type of sleep pattern initiated.
Joseph suggested that i try and find voluntary work in the bus sector, which was a really nice plan all be it with one slightly tiny setback, as far as i remember voluntary work is unpaid a bit like community service. So although i appreciate his advice i`m trying to work out how me doing voluntary work all week will help me pay my bills and help me to try and survive through this cost of living crisis?
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello WYBS,
I can actually assure you that my post is not a wind up, i can give you my word on that.
Hello deerfold - I`m really hoping to find bus driving employment in West Yorkshire so as to be closer to my family especially my daughter who is expecting her 2nd child in November. I`m doing what i can to be open, honest and transparent with all this.
Sadly as a last resort i would have to contemplate relocating to ensure meaningfull employment as in shared housing or B&B etc.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hi there Stephen01,
I`d like to thank you for your comment on here and for the help you offered advice wise, its very much appreciated.
This will sound somewhat weird but i`m actually banned for life from being employed by Yorkshire Buses and i`m even blocked from their facebook page so that`s not really an option sadly. I`m also banned for life from Ross Travel and Arriva here in the whole of the UK. Also banned from Shoreline Suncruiser Buses in Scarborough and from Southern Vectis on the Isle of Wight and from EYMS all depots.
Anyway i just wanted to be honest and open and say that trying to get off benefits and back behind the wheel of a bus is now proving very difficult.
Again i do appreciate your information and i`m of the hoping that your keeping well.
I`m going to contact Somerset Passenger Solutions who are based in Somerset as they operate Staff & Visitor shuttle services to Hinckley Point so they may be happy to give me a go. Failing that next July i`ve been told that i can apply to J&DS Halcrow over on the Shetland Isle`s. That would be ok just means i`d not see my family so often including my 2 year old grandson and the new grandson that is due in November.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hello to anyone who finds this.
I am wanting to ask if anyone happens to know of any bus companies either major large ones or smaller independant ones that have a late turn rota?.
By late turn i am thinking of the earliest start being 1pm or 2pm and then just finish anytime after 10pm.
I dont sleep very well so any start time between 3am and 11am just wouldnt work for me sadly.
I currently live in Altofts ( West Yorkshire ) and i have transport but ideally any companies within West Yorkshire would be ideal.
I could search further afield but that would mean me either re locating or taking on a shared house and still trying to run this place.
I`ve got my PCV and CPC. I passed my PCV ( or PSV as it was back then ) in September 1992 at West Riding Buses ( Belle Isle depot, Barnsley Road Wakefield )
Many thanks, Bryan

My own very personal view is that i am hoping or at least it would be really good if the rest of the fleet turns out looking like that wright bodied single decker bus. Its smart and sleek and sharp and it will look very professional on all of the buses.
I`m very sure that in time all the fleet will look like that.

I`m pretty sure that once both time and finances allow then the fleet will get liveried up and look awesome. I`m wondering what the final livery will look like and if it`ll be some sort of take on the 1990`s Yorkshire Woollen red and cream?. I`m sure that the company had a wright bodied single decker painted up when they first started operations and it was a combination of red and cream with a yellow stripe added, it looks awesome if anyone finds the photo of it.

To Adam,
When CT Plus ran the 113 hospital shuttle service the driver changovers were all done at Pinderfields Hospital and there were only 2 buses on the service all day and night. As one bus left dewsbury one bus left Pontefract and the timing was for them to both be at Pinderfields at quarter to the hour and then back to either Pontefract or Dewsbury at quarter past the hour.
I`m guessing that due to it being run from Dewsbury now the whole contract may have changed somewhat.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Hi there Stephen,
Thanks ever so much for taking the time to compile the list of current routes for me, it really is truly appreciated.
I`m actually staggered as to how few routes are operated from Belle Isle these days compared to the vast number that were operated from the same depot back in 1992 when i passed my PSV test there in the September of that year.
Looking back to that year when i was on the mini bus network driving Optare Metro riders and Renault Dodge`s, we had that many routes on the mini bus network alone and then there was the big bus network too.
I guess people just dont want to or dont need to use a bus as much these days, hence why possibly lots of bus companies are not buying brand new buses.
