PB2053151/6 Registered (Short notice) YORKSHIRE TRAVEL GROUP LTD Route: Pudsey Bus Station to Town Street, Horsforth via Calverley Service number: 30 Service type: Normal Stopping Effective date: 20 May 2024 Interesting Also a new registration by TLC PB0004246/126 New (Short notice) T L C TRAVEL LTD Route: Bus Stop Stand S5, Market Place, Shipley to Bus Stop Stand S5, Market Place, Shipley via Five Lane Ends, Holmewood, Lidget Green & Heaton Service number: 601 Service type: Hail & Ride, Normal Stopping Effective date: 19 May 2024 Never would have thought that Yorkshire Buses would pick up another contract after giving up on the 9 and 29! Maybe they've got more drivers now and a more reliable fleet.

Maybe they've got more drivers now and a more reliable fleet. Its only a one vehicle duty All they have to is to turn up consistently, listen to customer feedback and not be rude to people. Also having smart, polite drivers and clean buses if they do those things, they should be fine.

Really interested to see what that 601 route is! I'm guessing a very big version of the old city circular, hopefully operating both directions although I'd have used 602 for the opposite direction to save any confusion in Shipley.

Yeah, it looks like an extension of the 629 into a circular. But yes, it’ll hopefully have one in the other direction. Needs ‘City Circle’ on the desti for proper retro vibes.

Really interested to see what that 601 route is! That's a bit similar to the route I suggested on this forum. I'm wondering if it is in addition to the current 629 or instead, and will it continue through Shipley or just terminate there, as the current 629 interworks with the 678/679 routes at Shipley.

There was a cancellation of the route 629 on VOSA, I forgot to post it, my apologies! I'd get it now, but they're doing maintenance on the vosa site.

Why? the 9 and 29 were commercial not contracted so not sure what the logic of your remark is.

nope as they're struggling to provide all trips all the routes atm Utter drivel! it's NOT utter drivel when only one bus is running on 398 when it's usually 2 with the spare bus doing an AM Peak round trip, the 61/61a isn't running fully at times and the same with the 113.

How come you criticise TLC and Yorkshire Buses for missing trips, but you won't criticise Arriva or any of the other big companies? Arriva gave up the 377/378 because they're short of drivers If your going off via bustimes, there are still problems with ticketer, buses aren't always tracking, take Arriva for example.

The reason why i criticise TLC & Yorkshire Buses more is because they do themseleves no favours especially TLC when it comes to the North Kirkless network especially given this week we've had a day where the 259 actually hasn't run at all but that is common on the ML2 as well. Also the reason why Arriva have given up the 377/378 is because they've admitted they've not been focusing on the North Kirklees Network.

Minor changes in May. For those who don't know how bad the shortage is at Arriva, the comments are a little taste. You don't see this to the same extent under a post from First!

If you're pinning your dreams on info from bus times then that's where you'll be made to look very foolish, there is currently major issues with BODS data (which feeds Bus Times) and also new 4G adapters on ticketer machines which Ticketer are well aware of (sadly their current focus is on the roll out at TfGM) and the rest of the industry has to wait! The 4G upgrade (3G is being turned off) has caused major software issues with machines causing them to crash with alarming regularity, having spoken to others it appears to be a major issue so much so that several operators I know of are looking at dumping Ticketer and moving to Transmach systems.

PB2053151/6 Registered (Short notice) YORKSHIRE TRAVEL GROUP LTD Route: Pudsey Bus Station to Town Street, Horsforth via Calverley Service number: 30 Service type: Normal Stopping Effective date: 20 May 2024 Interesting I thought they hated Metro as they spat their dummy out "not being paid properly" and didn't expect metro passes. I look forward to them randomly not showing up and blaming "unplanned roadworks" lol

News from Bramley, no longer embargoed: Services 19/19A: Frequency reduction to increase reliability. This will mean a new frequency range on the combined service of between 20 minutes in quieter periods and up to 30 minutes at peak times.
