Changes to routes 2A/2B and 6 in Harrogate as well as frequency changes for routes 3 and 36. www.transdevbus.co.uk/harrogate/changes-harrogate-19-febFrom 19 February, we’re making some changes to buses in and around Harrogate. We’re giving you plenty of notice, with timetables to preview below, so you can plan your travels with confidence. Read on for more details. Harrogate Electrics 2 Harrogate - Bilton every 20 mins We will merge the current 2A and 2B routes to create a new circular route around Bilton covering the busiest stops and and main locations but with our timetable increased to run every 20 mins Monday to Saturday instead of every half hour, and every hour evenings and Sundays. The new route and stops are shown below and the new timetable here. Those stops we will no longer serve are within less than 5 mins walk of alternative stops. Harrogate Electrics 3 Harrogate - Jennyfield every 20 mins A new timetable means we will now run every 20 mins Monday to Saturday, which is shown here. There are no changes to the route or stops. Harrogate Electrics 6/X6 Harrogate - Pannal Ash every 30 mins Our route around Pannal Ash will change to speed up journey times. This means we will no longer serve lightly used stops and will instead stop at Pannal Ash Drive and The Lawns. The X6 route will not change, and continue to run along Otley road serving all stops in both directions. If you currently catch the 6 into Harrogate along Otley Road, you'll need to catch the bus on the opposite side of the road before it goes around Pannal Ash. Check the new route and stops below and the new timetable here. the 36 Leeds - Harrogate every 10 mins We’re back with our every 10 mins timetable between Leeds and Harrogate as we see more and more people come back to the 36. We will continue to run to similar timetables and frequencies between Harrogate and Ripon, as well as during other times of day. Check the new timetable here.

Actually a frequency reduction for the 3 Mon-Fri daytime as it is currently every 15 mins. Saturdays are currently half hourly so an increase there. Also Mon-Sat evening drops from 30 mins to hourly.

First have pretty much got rid of all their small bus work around Leeds.

That’s a different 948 - I presume school bus -which ended in 2013!

More than likely Transdev are giving the routes up but could be a simple change of registration to instead work from Idle, always seemed strange for Keighley to work them when Idle is so much closer to Otley. Even more so for the 948 which ends for the night within half a mile of Idle depot but runs out of service the 10 miles or so back to Keighley every night.

Thanks for this. I do look at the online pdf versions of the notices and proceedings from time to time, and note the original post had the cancellation details in the format contained within those notices, but I cannot find any mention of those services in any of the recent publications of notices and proceedings which would detail the changes in that format.

That 962 was a school bus that duplicated the 662 back then, I think mostly for pupils at St Bedes/St Joseph’s who would overload the at the time recently introduced single decks

I believe Idle wasn't around when the Eccleshill-Apperley Bridge services (there were two at the time I believe) began, neither when the Otley routes first began. I know since there have some more contract gains and changes, but I also know that some will do a 62 before doing their route in Otley. Idle is registered under Coastliner/York, and the contract would be for Keighley, so I am not sure how they would be able to change this mid-contract. As for these cancellations, it could be that they have gave up the contract, a bit like they will be doing to some in York, to save money, and re-bid for them at a better price. But, that is just pure speculation at the moment until we see any evidence that Keighley are planning on doing the same.

Minor change to Transdev Harrogates 7 from 19 Feb with the use of Eastgate rather than Lady Lane, according to NYCC. No timing change apparently despite this regular occurance www.flickr.com/photos/east_lancs/52622736412/ which can hardly helping the services custom.

Rumours doing rounds that TLC are taking over the Otley Dash from Transdev Wither it's true or not I cannot confirm It has been a while since TLC Travel did contract work up Wharfedale but I do believe the rumours as there isn't any other local company other than connexions that are likely to run it however I will put less money on betting connexions as there buses are running poorly at the minute and First is unlikely to get it back because they are not a fan of doing contract work unless it's services that heavily benefit the network like the 587 for example or evening 579 as they already ran the daytime service as a commercial route.

They do still run the daily 653 Pool - Otley - Bradford (unchanged since 2017).
