I’ve only ever seen Transdev or Arriva refer to “the summer” rather than any specific date

On the actual vehicles it strikes me the name could read better if it the depot name added as Team in the logo is plainly secondary to Pennine so they could have an equally secondary Elland or Waterloo or even both with a handshake added

Interesting to see the changeover date for the first time, so Sunday July 11th. I cant see any where that says that? i thought it would be the normal july service change date At the end of july? I was responding to the post quoting that date. However it seems now to have been updated as happening on July 25th instead.

Wonder if we could see Mellor Stratas appear in Team Pennine's network.

Notice on twitter there's a mockup bus one of the latest Team Pennine Tweet with Mellor Stratas as a mockup in their new livery. Elland probably getting Stratas then for their routes?

Wonder if we could see Mellor Stratas appear in Team Pennine's network. Whether it is these or other vehicle types such as Solo SRs, Transdev may well have already ordered them by now.

Team Pennine pages have been updated, confirming the start date as the 25th July. Website also states that there'll be new vehicles running on the 233 between Huddersfield and Denby Dale from the first day of operation, while 1 in 4 of Yorkshire Tiger's current fleet being replaced by newer vehicles by October. www.transdevbus.co.uk/_/teampennine

The Team Pennine operator's licence changed from "Under Consideration" to "Valid" yesterday, so I suspect we'll see all the route registrations appear very shortly.

Denby Darts? But that's an E200 lol. But still, I think the 233 is still got a massive upgrade with Team Pennine. I think the livery will look great on the e200s.

The obvious question I've got to ask is does anybody living on these routes and not following Team Pennine on Twitter know about this change? Have Transdev backed up the Twitter campaigh with something else, e.g. leaflets through doors etc?

Good point as there's been nothing in the Huddersfield Examiner or on the Examiner website about the changes since the original sale at the beginning of the year. Really they should have posters on the Tiger Buses currently in service and yes going door-to-door with leaflets for it and have someone at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary & Calderdale Royal telling folk about the services too.

Why? I'm sure Transdev will put lots of publicity on the buses once they've taken over. But initially, the times aren't changing and everyone who had a ticket will still find it's valid.

It's all about maintaining and improving passenger views in the company and to help engage with the community on the changes and to strengthen community relationships.

Well for a start the 233 will have new buses with a totally different livery, not to mention a handful of others painted pre-takeover. That's bound beyond any doubt to cause real confusion, you're looking out for an orange thing when a pink bus with a totally different company name on it comes by, most will let it past not realising it's their bus.

Given Tiger operate buses painted orange or blue, and buses in Arriva livery with Arriva fleetnames on and the public seem to cope OK with that I'm sure the majority of people stood waiting for a 233 will still stick their hand out when they see a bus with the 233 number on the front approaching, regardless of what colour it is. Why? I'm sure Transdev will put lots of publicity on the buses once they've taken over. But initially, the times aren't changing and everyone who had a ticket will still find it's valid. You were saying Transdev should do publicity. Presumably that's the responsibility of Arriva. I'm sure Transdev will do plenty of publicity, but they won't want to be blamed for anything that happens before they take over.

Eh, now I'm really confused, why on earth would Arriva want to publicise this new Transdev venture? Transdev need to get the publicity machine running now so they can hit the ground running and get big loads from day one, all good and well doing it on Twitter, but I very much doubt those on the 233 even know YT are being taken over by Transdev, never mind knowing about the Twitter account and new buses.

You suggested there needed to be posters on the Tiger buses. That's currently Arriva. Transdev can't just put posters on someone else's buses. I was saying Arriva should be publicising the changes for the 233.

The initally sale was covered in the Yorkshire Evening Post, The Huddersfield Examiner, The Telegraph & Argus and Halifax Courier with the confirmation of the name change been in YEP and Halifax Courier. Here's link to the list of news articles on Google about it; www.google.co.uk/search?q=yorkshire+tiger&prmd=nsiv&source=lnms&tbm=nws&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiW8KKh1sfxAhVXiFwKHckEBSQQ_AUoAXoECAMQAQ&biw=412&bih=693&dpr=2.63

You can't beat a bright leaflet for grabbing attention. YT have done Transdev no favors what so ever with how shoddy they've become over recent years, the result of which has been mass passenger loses even in normal times, Transdev could do with every inch of publicity in all avenues (digital, print, physical roadshow etc) they can muster to turn it around, especially starting from now as I'm sure they'd want to ditch any bad impression from before the start date so people from day one clamor on board in big numbers. Maybe they should go with the tag line 'We've killed off Yorkshire Tiger, enjoy the change on us, Team Pennine' for all publicity material.
