The wheel arches look slightly different too.

The new batch have white led destination blind as well as GREEN poles inside instead of the usual pink. Some of the blue ones have been repainted into red for the headingley corridors.
Sent from my SM-G930F using proboards

I’ve noticed some of the new streetdecks in red the Leeds uni corridor. This extra batch have white blinds.
fleet number is 355xx or something like that. I saw 3 of them. One was not in service, one on the 28, and another on the 6.

Well, that's how they dealt with the ones delivered in green as well, so no surprises really. Will make interesting spotting from my office window, though - red, green and blue roof stripes going past!

There are quite a few design changes on latest streetdecks, apart from corner glazed upper front windows they have green hand poles not pink, revised driver assault screen layout, short stub arm side mirror on kerb side (already watched people smacking them with their face and head!

I think the point is that it represents a whole lack of attention to detail or care, not just about the colour of the roofs but the whole network in general.

Anyone know if the original red stripes were painted or just vinyl transfer like the front upper deck wrap?
I'm guessing the replacement yellow is vinyl front and back. Thanks.

Thanks Josh. That'll explain why the yellow ones still have a red roof stripe - they can't simply peel it off. It does seem a bit inconsistent to paint the back stripe and vinyl the front one, rather than use the same method for both.

It’s funny how the rebranding of new streetdecks is inconsistent.
But then again looking at the roof of all London buses. There all White. Even Borismsters too.

The reason that London buses have white roofs is to try and cool the inside of the bus down as white reflects heat and sunlight whereas other colours absorb the heat thereby making the inside of the bus warmer.

It can get warm inside a London bus. Especially a borismaster in summer. I had to google. Makes it handy. Also fleetnumbers are on above. That could be handy in Leeds. We’d be able to spot what buses are around from the rooftops.

Could anybody inform me please how many new Streetdecks are in service from the latest batch (68 plates) in Leeds and how many are expected? I have tried to look at previous comments, but unable to find the answer to this one. Thank You

Apparently some of these new streetdecks have new screens in the interior.
