They're, as you'd expect from First nowadays, just very cheap builds. Hopefully these ones actually make the cut unlike the ones they tried delivering in December which were described as "terrible" and "leaking like a tap", and subsequently were rejected and sent back.

I did wonder as the first batch on the X84 have been having issues when I`ve been on them, mainly the interior lights flashing or even going off altogether.

Look smart, although we don’t know yet what route branding they are likely to slap all over the windows.
Those seats look nice now, what they will look like in 10 years, compared to had they gone with moquette only time will tell.

I can only think of the “Pulse” branding placed on every decker out of Leeds.

I thought the red stripe was part of the route branding and will be different colours depending on the route.

Might even be a rebranding of colours used ( an Overground version 2)

The green livery and beige seats remind me of the Dennis Arrows that Arriva cascaded to Heckmondwike in their days with London & Country.

That’s what I thought, the first time I saw the Livery. very London and Country “esque” . I’m sure that’s a very similar tone colour. I think it’s the closest modern day livery alternative to Leeds City Transport. MCW metrobus 7575 did a good job of representing the retro livery in Yorkshire rider days.

The livery is also a reminder of a more local independent, Optional Buses back in the 90's. So bit of a throwback and would be the closest thing to a heritage livery becoming a local standard, in a way bearing that in mind reminds me of Halifax's 37048 with a First Olympia livery but in old colours.
