Surprised this hasn't been reported but they have obtained one of the Solos used on the Mousehole from First Kernow. Very unique to other solos as it has no windows at the back. Completely open, I believe it was said they are planning to use it on summer routes, which is a brilliant idea.

I find it funny that kernow spent all that money converting it for it never to actually enter service (Supposedly one of the councils took issue with people's arms potentially getting caught and damaged around the tight streets in mousehole)! It's good to see SPCT are giving it another lease of life, let's hope we see it out on the roads next year.

From reports on the South Yorkshire Transport forum, it would appear that South Pennine have just opened a 2nd depot in the east end of Sheffield. Reports are 4 vehicles are allocated, with vehicles rotating around between Honley and Sheffield for maintenance etc. Source: travelsy.proboards.com/

What's the Saturday interworking like around Holmfirth? The 29 obviously looks stand alone, but the 26A, 309, 351 and 352 all look to interwork together which must be difficult to maintain during the periods of tight interworking in the busier Summer months.
One run I've worked out seems to run as follows, 07.55 309 Honley to Holmfirth arriving at 08.15, then onto the 08.20 351 Holmforth to Glossop and return arriving back at 09.40 then 09.55 352 to Uppermill and return arriving back at 10.50 then 26A at 10.50 to Thurgoland and return arriving back into Holmfirth at 12.15, driver has a break then does the 12.55 26A to Thurgoland and back arriving 14.15, then the 309 at 14.20 back to Honley.
Another run seems to do the 309 at 08.30 to Holmfirth (08.50) then the 08.55 26A to Thurgoland and return (arr 10.15), then the 10.20 351 to Glossop and return, then after a short 15 minute break it then runs onto the 11.55 352 to Uppermill and return, the driver has another break for an hour then does the 13.55 352 to Uppermill and return, then has another break for 30 minutes then does the 15.20 351 to Glossop and return followed by the 16.45 309 to Honley.

I know the 29s interwork with the 24s on a night at penistone so does a 29 from Chapeltown to penistone then onto a 24a to barnsley

Hi,
Went past the Depot so had a quick look at what could be seen. There is a Ex-First Falmouth Coaster Plaxton President in the yard. Any idea what the registration of this bus is?
Thank you

I used them for the first time yesterday, on route E4.
The driver and a couple of passengers knew eachother and had a bit of a chat. He even expressed some interest in my own exploration for scenery (but we didn't chat about buses in general though).

An extremely impressive batch of vehicles equal in design and quality (or better) than the big players. I'm very impressed.

That is one of the best looking vehicles operated by any bus company I have ever seen. That looks absolutely fantastic, fair play to them, they put more in effort into that livery than a lot of big operators does. I hope it's a massive success. Absolutely fantastic livery. Looks brilliant

I Believe these are owned by SYPTE & came with the Sheffield Connect contract. I Wonder if this could be hint at what the future SY livery will be if/when franchising appears, it does look smart with some hints to other liveries from across the UK. I'm assuming it's a Stenning design?

This livery smacks of Leeds City, Buses of Somerset and Keighley. Wow, such originality!!. Still, at least it appeals to to the enthusiast's.

South Pennine will be taking on another route in South Yorkshire from Monday, they'll be operating the 117 from Rotherham to Bramley every hour between 09.30 and 14.30 Monday to Saturday taking this over from TM Travel who for some reason couldn't operate the full 6 days a week timetable due to driver shortages. How come South Pennine can find drivers but TM can't?

Perhaps South Pennine treat their drivers better than TM Travel?

Unfortunate incident at South Pennine.
Whilst I have every sympathy for them, this statement seems to be far more complicated than it needs to be.
