A good route to have steered clear of this weekend by the sound of things. Call me cynical, it could just be the shot capture, but there is the mother and infant all smiles, presumably passengers, and next to the bus the ' oh my neck doesn't feel right, where's the claim form' gentleman. I hope I'm wrong, and hopefully everybody was ok

AY Castleford LF Spectra 710 parked up near Oulton roundabout waiting for assistance. Hazards on, looking as if it was leaning to the front nearside. Possible front nearside puncture or suspension failure.

I wonder if they towed it all the way back to Halifax like that as I'm not sure it'd get under some of the bridges in that state, plus they'd have to remember to go via the 592 route rather than the main road. Maybe they took it to Transdev's depot to have a look at.

Maybe they took it to Transdev's depot to have a look at. It went on motorways, M65 then M62 to Ainley Top and into Halifax.

Not sure if it was a breakdown but Gemini 1527 pulled in with windscreen smashed in corner, it let passengers on but then apparently they were transferred to the next 126. Got this info off a non-enthusiast mate.

This is a breakdown nowhere near our area bus it's one some here will be interested in seeing. Caught the 10.35 Cumbria Classic Coaches Kirkby Stephen station to Barnard Castle bus 572 operated by a 1950 Leyland Tiger (the ex Crosville one), it broke down on Middleton Moor above Middleton in Teesdale nowhere near anywhere and with no phone signal! The 1959 Bristol Lodekka following was full with only 7 seats left, our bus had roughly 40 on board. All bar 10 managed to fit onto the Bristol and we waited and waited in Middleton until the replacement turned up. It didn't so some people ended up using the normal service bus (Scarlet Band 95) whilst others waited a bit more. After time, the driver thought sod it we'll just carry on to Barnard Castle. On the return journey I learned through other passengers that the replacement bus was also in service but was taking the direct route via the A66 towards Barnard Castle. This then had to turn back to Brough and up the hilly moor road to pick up the 10 stranded passengers. The best is yet to come, on the way back, both buses set off together, the replacement bus (a PD3) went first followed by our bus, somehow both buses got separated at traffic lights like they do. After a trip down the A66 we got to within 5 miles of Brough when the conductor received a call from the conductor of the second bus (the PD3 supposedly in front) he asked our conductor as to our whereabouts, the second bus got lost! After 20 minuted of describing where he should have gone the PD3 came racing up BEHIND us! The moral of this story is your breakdown could be worse!

UDI Centrebus 737 broken down at Pannal last night being passed by the last 737 back to Bradford, so obviously had been there for at least a hour but was still showing 737 Bradford on its desti.

60839 on the 610 had some offside damage by the emergency door outside Great Horton Tesco.Did not see what happen but looked like it was pulling into the stop(the nearside indicators were on and it appears that a Corsa (that was parked in front of the bus with hazards on) had probably overtaken and for some reason misjudged the space required or maybe could have been forced towards the bus by oncoming traffic which resulted with contact being made

HCT Strider M954DRG broke down this morning blocking the entrance into Harrogate Bus Station with result queue of vehicles seeking a pavement drop off:, pick up point. Not certain what it was working, assuming not a X1, as a Scania Omnicity was the only vehicle in the Bus Station on a X70 and another in the queue outside on a X52, and the on loan Enviro was working the NYCC contracts.

An Optare Spectra was been towed from the rear from White Rose Centre. I believe it was 701 which had engine problems. It was there when I headed into Leeds and was still there an hour later still awaiting rescue. Penfold
