As of yesterday (16/09/19), TLC moved into their new Bradford depot on Spring Mill Street When I went past today I did think it looked fuller than it has done over the past few months.

Bye TLC from Huddersfield 👀 what do you mean Josh apart from them wrapping the depot up and closing shop in Huddersfield as TLC run Kirklees Accessbus As someone who is affected by this, this isn't a rumour, it's fact, we were informed by notice, 19/02/2020. They're reducing the number of services run from Huddersfield to just 900/01/02, and Kirklees Accessbus, from May. Staff can transfer to Tod depot where there are vacancies or onto Kirklees Accessbus. Staff will TUPE over to whoever takes over the remaining services. Staff needed to work the Hebden run, between 2 & 4 out of 12 staff.

Have the routes been lost due to retendering. If so then who is taking them on.

If so then who is taking them on. if that's the case it may not have been confirmed as yet but it'll be likely they'll go back to Stotts & Tiger or even Streamline (can't believe i'm even thinking that) and potential First Huddersfield for the Almondbury services

Stotts have apparently bought 2 solos and put in a tender price in for 377/378 Streamline have allegedly put a price in for 377/378 and if successful will get two low floor small buses. Tiger have put price in for all routes. Like I said at the beginning, these are rumours that have circulated since Wednesday, when it was reported about TLC Huddersfield. I guess it will be another 3 or 4 weeks before we hear anything concrete, and as I put in my original post a little further up, I am affected by whatever happens.

The new operator for the affected Huddersfield services has been revealed to Staff.
It's an operator that doesn't have an operating centre in the Huddersfield area.
I'm not gonna reveal who they are.

I'm not gonna reveal who they are. Is there any point in posting? there is a point as it indicates jobs are now safe and the routes will be too. As for who the successful new operator will be we'll have to wait for changes announcment in the coming weeks.

I'm not gonna reveal who they are. Is there any point in posting? Actually, I think it's not my place to reveal who the new operator is. Under the current circumstances, the new operator is ringing staff that are on the TUPE list, for a chat, which after I've had that chat, I've then got a decision to make as to who I end up working for. Cos, if you remember back to when this was announced in January, TLC are keeping the 900/901 Hebden Bridge route, I also have my name down to just do that, which also allows me to be a spare to cover Bradford and Todmorden depots. By the time I've made my decision, it probably will have been announced, but, one thing I can say is, even in this current climate, it will still be happening as originally planned in May.

CT Plus announced Friday 24 April on Twitter they are taking over the 341, 354, 355, 374, 375, 377 & 378 from 19th May and seem to be using some of the ex- MCT fleet which does include e200mmcs.

So TLC closed down their Huddersfield depot and TJ Walsh ceased trading and CT Plus are currently in full preparation to operate some of TLC`s and some of TJ`s routes or at least some of them.
Huddersfield and Halifax cannot be mega miles apart for one single operator to take the plunge and operate two different operator`s route`s.

TLC haven't shut the depot near Huddersfield as they are still running the 900/901/902 and Kirklees Accessbus from there. Where have you got it that CT Plus are getting the TJ Walsh routes as they've announced the May routes already including one in South Yorkshire (powells team).

TLC only ran the Huddersfield area tenders for one contract period. They were previously run by Stotts and Yorkshire Tiger. TJ Walsh tenders amounts to about 4 buses

Ok so CT Plus are going to run some of the TJ Walsh`s route`s from a set date.
Powell`s based at Hellaby are now owned by CT Plus...
I actually read on here that CT Plus had been lucky enough to be allowed to run some of the former TJ Walsh routes.
CT Plus has always been a small independant with HQ based in London ( Ash Grove ), Dia Powell is the CEO.
From what i gather from being involved with them at their early stages back in 2005 is that they build up their company via either tendering small amounts for all the bits and pieces of routes either early or late starts or they simply offer a lump sum to smaller companies that are struggling to operate.
CT Plus are a bigger company than most people think..never underestimate them...

It seems that TLC will have the fewest routes for some time, having lost some to Yorkshire Tiger in Bradford, Transdev in Keighley and now CT Plus - albeit after just 1 term - in Huddersfield.

I had not realised how this operator's work had reduced so much in recent times until looking at the timetables on the Metro update page. Anybody any idea of the current PVR and what are they doing with all their buses?

2020 Lost 341/342, 354/355, 374/375, 377, 378 to CT Plus
2019 Lost 303/304/396 to Tiger, 317 to Stotts, ML1 to Station Coaches
2018 Lost 605, 606, 629, 649, 655-659, 660, 678, 679 to Tiger, 708, 715, 716, 727-729, 915-918 to Transdev
I don't think anything has been gained within the same time period
