I use the 341 service at 7am from Almondbury into Huddersfield to work and the service is absolutely lousy, late regularly and with regular no shows, like this morning. You just cannot rely on it at the minute.

Being held together by duck tape for starters. They’re starting to make Tates Travel look like they were professional.

I thought we were getting picked on, because, we've got mismatched panels on some vehicles, just like every other bus company. First - old livery painted panels or unpainted Arriva - old livery painted panels Tiger - old livery/different colour panels, or unpainted Streamline - white vehicle, sporting red headlight surrounds, the red ex London one looking shabby with faded paint Stotts - can't find owt wrong Duct tape probably also used by everyone too, especially smaller operators, to keep a vehicle out. I remember a certain company based in Dewsbury area then Batley, that had duct tape holding the engine cover on for over a week, before they changed it to a gate hinge!! Being held together by duck tape for starters. They’re starting to make Tates Travel look like they were professional.

Driving standards from some of the drivers also leave a bit to be desired. I don’t appreciate being forced into a wall by a bus at the best of times when there’s a sign stating uphill traffic has right of way on Bank Foot Lane in Netherton/Armitage Bridge.

I totally agree with you on that, some of them, are ***k's, when it comes to it. I try to come down there by using the pavement, but, the house owner/tenant doesn't like it being used, and had that barrier put up, except, you can't see any traffic coming up and around the bend from the top, and a Solo and Transit type van, can't pass at that narrow point, and if, there is someone walking up, I'll stop, as far over to my nearside, if coming down, to allow uphill traffic to pass, before, I come off pavement. But, unfortunately, when the bus is trying to go up, some car drivers are just as bad. Driving standards from some of the drivers also leave a bit to be desired. I don’t appreciate being forced into a wall by a bus at the best of times when there’s a sign stating uphill traffic has right of way on Bank Foot Lane in Netherton/Armitage Bridge.

To be honest if the bus is coming up I just get onto the pavement ASAP if no one is walking up. Much easier these days with the full pavement there. Had many a stand off with cars when I used the service when it was operated by Yorkshire Rider/Blue Bus to the point the bus driver simply turned off his engine because the car coming down refused to take the car up onto the kerb. Don’t see how the house owner can object to a public pavement being used to keep traffic flow moving. They keep trying to cone off the pavement after the railing and I’m sure people keep taking the cones away.

Right from day one some of them drive like they own the road! 9 times out of 10 most of them absolutely take off, even down the narrow lanes round these parts! Bank Foot Lane at Netherton does seem a particular hotspot for this

Looks like nobody has spotted this, so I'll put it. 3536 (YJ10 EYX) has been repainted into usual livery, with a slight addition of a swoop of blue at the rear corner. Currently being used at Huddersfield, last few days on 341/374 services. Here's picture that I took while in service.

Written off? What happened? From what I've been told, a drunk driver drove into an E200, don't know which one, yet. This one seats 37 passengers 0 wheelchair or 35 passengers 1 wheelchair.
