One of the Green B6's was in Leicester Depot this morning, didn't see the number but given the sighting log from the weekend suspect 524 (I think that was a green one).
As for the Streetlite demo it is unlikely to be to replace the Halifax Solos (don't think they are leased, not normal for Centrebus to be so, and even if they were they are less than half-way through the contracts they were acquired for so lease is unlikely to be up) however there is a need elsewhere in the company for new vehicles of that size so taking a look at a new type is unusual for Centrebus but makes sense (they have also had a couple of vehicles from Elland away on rectification work that need to be covered).

I was told that they were leased and the lease runs out in January but they are not going anywhere because they are ideal for the routes.

The Streetlite is now back in Halifax, it is on the 36 this time... so maybe they are testing them on the ex HJC routes now to replace the unreliable W&D Solo's...

2 B6BLEs have arrived at Leicester this week, confirmed as: 524 - V144MAK 536 - V506EFR both for service in Leicester.
I have been told a third is due to move from Waterloo to Leicester imminently, it has been intimated that it will be the 2nd Go-Green B6BLE - 523 - V143MAK.

More likely that Wrightbus are practically pushing them at operators to try and generate orders, it doesn't mean Centrebus are serious about buying any. If Centrebus were planning on buying brand new buses for the HJC routes, they would have done so at the time

Then Again, Only One MCV Has Leather Seats, I wouldn't jump to conclusions as this might be the only one to have leather seats...

From what I hear they are wanting to buy some new buses sometime but they need to find the right route and the right town/city for them. I dont think it will be the only demo to be tested.

It seems like everyone is trying the Streetlite, looks like Optare need to re-launch the solo to save us from this monstrosity. Much better than the horrible milk float primo's.

Mistral & Wright are jointly marketing them and both are supplying demonstrators to operators to try out the vehicle (Mistral actually having more demos than Wrightbus). Not sure what other demonstrators might be taken since Centrebus already operate Solos & Enviro 200s and have operated and discarded Primos along with Scanias, MANs, Tempos & VDLs and through contacts have experience of a number of other types.

I'd get in quickly then as from an overheard conversation between 2 directors it is possible/likely that all the B6BLEs will be heading to Leicester (though with the changeable nature of the industry anything could happen to change circumstances). I know that Waterloo were expecting some newer buses to go on the 262 though they were slightly unclear what so whether it is the MCVs going on the 262 or to the 231/232 to displace the DAFs to the 262 is not clear at the moment, I'm still waiting on the depot to let me know what their plans are on this matter at the moment.

It will be a change without the Volvo B6s in huddersfield as they have been there years but the buses that will replace them will make aperences on most of there routes bcause the sprytes have been used on nearly all of the routes in their time with hudds bus co

A quick question about interworking in Leeds, can anyone answer these?
- A 62 run starts at 08:57 at Greengates with no service arriving before then, does this bus do something else before this journey?
- It was said that the 747 & 757 are now interworking, is this still the case and if it is, between what times does it occur?
- Anyone know what the duties that do the 63B evening journeys do in the daytime?

The Streetlite has departed Elland (Don't know where to) and ALX200 568 has come from Leeds, there is currently a bus shortage at Elland due to a few broken buses.

The Streetlite is now with Nottingham City Transport. That's interesting since NCT have just bought a load of Optare Solos and the vast majority of the fleet is Optare/East Lancs and Scania.
