They are getting replaced with Scania's. Oh,Oh, havent we heard all this before?. IIRC HBC were getting ex- Newport Scanias, then brand new Scanias, then Scanias from wherever, as posted by your good self. In reality NO Scanias replaced the B6BLEs then, and havent done now. The best HBC have done is a couple of cascaded MCVs up to press. No disrespect, but for matters HBC the likes of me and thee can only muse and speculate. I rely only on dwarfer79 for the info on this company, as an employee hes the one who knows!. PS, when those V reg B6BLEs do finally disappear/disintegrate, ill be the first to cheer.

They have already sent 4 B6's to Leicester and one of the garage staff at Waterloo said they were getting some Scania's to replace them.

To be able to send buses away they need to have replacements in place, hence the MCV Evolutions.
You can't withdraw buses because new buses are arriving at some point in the future, or you won't meet the PVR.
Plus Scania aren't exactly well known for their midi-buses to replace the Sprytes!

However the OmniLinks in Leeds were originally supposed to go to Waterloo after covering painting & other requirements in Leeds, whether that transfer goes through in the end or they stay at Leeds is somewhat unclear at the moment. The vehicles wouldn't necessarilly need to be midibuses to replace some of the B6BLEs (there are no particular limits on the 262 and a couple of the B6BLE workings are actually on mainline services elsewhere anyway). Added to which in relation to replacing B6BLEs Waterloo have received 3 MCVs, the Bluebird & at least 1 Solo recently with no increase in PVR so that would be able to free up 5 vehicles in theory alone.

there are no particular limits on the 262 Any 262 going into Dewsbury would need to be a single deck to negotiate the low bridge in Mirfield

It may have been a joke but theres more chance that they just had some spare Scania badges because there Bluebird 540 now has DAF badges

I think it was K-Line who started the whole "Lets stick a different badge on" thing, by slapping DAF badges on anything that moved.

I heard Paul the owner of K-Line had loads of DAF badges given, so he just put them on nearly every bus.

The rumours about Scanias appear to be correct, the report is of some Wright bodied Scanias coming up from Centrebus South (first has either arrived or is on its way).

Hasn't arrived today as i have been to waterloo depot...so must be on its way. However Volvo 537 looks ready for transfer as all advertisements have been stripped(outside and inside) and the back advert has been stripped.
Also, K Line's NC Palatine Leyland Olympian 803 K3 YCL(Still with hbc logos/legals) spotted in waterloo depot this afternoon...anyone have any idea why it could be there?

Shame Its Happening Already...I was hoping to finally ride 537 and 523(The Only Sprytes That I Havn't been on!), but 524 And 536 Was At The Depot Last Friday So It does Sound Right... You may yet get the chance to ride 523, As it was still in Hudds today. operating a 262 Dewsbury this tea-time.

537 was seen this morning(early), on layover in Ravensthorpe. It had blank destis, so i would assume it was waiting to start a 262 from Mirfield, or maybe a Bon Marche service. Ive also seen other B6BLE/Sprytes including 534 in the past couple of days or so. Does anyone know for definate if any, and which? ones have actually gone to Leicester.

Think 532, 536, 538 and 524 have gone, even though i have heard off a source that 524 may return, can't be too sure.

Does make sense as they need 8 buses for go green so it makes sense to keep them both.
