With BV55HYO 651 in Huddersfield and YJ09MJO 308 in Leeds. Yes the 2 MAN MCV's are getting their luggage racks taken out and transferred to Huddersfield from what I have heard. It still carried Centrebus names, didn't get a close enough look to see if it still had luggage racks. MX03YDG is in Leeds today, wonder why buses are being moved around allover the place all of a sudden. |

Leeds need a Solo for some reason and they needed something to give to Halifax in exchange.

Today a leeds drive told a friend that Halifax are getting MCV Evolution 666, YJ10 DFA & 667, YJ10 DFC. And leeds are getting two of our older Solos.

Presumably a minibus for the Horsforth circular as the single decks seem to have trouble going down narrow roads and tight corners.

Yes it has been there for over a week with it's luggage racks removed. Don't think it has been in service yet...

Y2 DRM.. Saw it going through Leeds with out of service on destination. End of the school term so it has been freed up, it was moved to Bowers to provide a belted vehicle for school work. I assume this is effectively to provide the extra bus needed for the 950 starting and that it will return to Bowers in September in time for the new school year. |

I thought it had returned to Leicester because it was broken and needed a lot of work doing to it. Thats what I heard anyway.

I think there was the assumption when it ended up at Bowers that it had broken down on its way back to Leicester but in fact from what I can understand it was sent to Bowers because they were in need of an extra belted vehicle for schools work, something they will still need next academic year so either 702 returns or another large belted vehicle will be allocated. However I also understand that it didn't react well to being driven up the motorway flat out from Leicester to Leeds which may also be part of the source of the story. |

We have a 37 seat Streetlite on loan in Halifax the reg is MX11 EGY, it was only out on late turn on the 574/528 today but arrived at the depot late yesterday, it is believed to be testing for future purchases due to the lease on the 59 reg Solos finishing in January.
It is going to stay in Halifax for a week, Huddersfield for a week, Leeds for a week and then K-Line.
I will upload photos soon...

It seems like everyone is trying the Streetlite, looks like Optare need to re-launch the solo to save us from this monstrosity.

As stated in Misallocations, 651, 652 and 545 have been transferred to Huddersfield and 651 has had Leather seats fitted and both have had luggage racks removed and upseated.
The Streetlite has been transferred to Huddersfield tonight and went straight out on 537

K-Line have had no problems with the DAF Solo's and the DAF Falcon. Centrebus had to remove Volvo logos off one of the Halifax Tempos when they first arrived though...

I'm sure DAF wouldn't object, they know most of their underpowered engines need a marketing boost so a merc solo will do nicely (not so sure though about the BMC though...) |

I think it is 776 that has had a wee crash by the door. 325 & 340 have had a new gearbox so i heard and drivers are trying to get the ex HJC routes to interwork with the tendered routes because the drivers find them hard work trying to keep on time.
