HJC are only fulfilling their timetable requirements. Lets not have another go at them for their buses being in the wrong livery - would you rather timetable requirements weren't met so that the buses were painted into fleet livery/delivered of previous adverts and brandings? Give them some slack on this one as WYB said. I agree and if you look back I can remember when other towns and cities had bus shortages it wasn't uncommon to "borrow" buses to fulfill the Service requirements. There is one period when Sheffield had steering problems in the early days of power steering and buses were borrowed not only locally from Rotherham, Doncaster and Chesterfield but from further afield. I can also remember examples from Leicester, Huddersfield and Edinburgh. You never knew what was going to turn up on some routes exciting times. There were more examples and no doubt I will be reminded.......

OMG! They've now forgotten what paint looks like! Ere, I'm sure we were supposed to do something with those bottom pannels, I think we did something similar before to a bus, can't quite remember what it was though. Oh hang on a mo, we've re-named ourselves citibus, is this some kind of effort to shake off our crap image? To be fair the grey skirt is actually the correct colour in the old Plymouth Citybus livery (which is what this bus is in), the red bumper (which is what the new livery uses) was obviously a replacement part before sale. It's not that unusual for an operator to use a bus in 'as acquired' condition (I can't throw stones as Centrebus currently have a Solo running around Stevenage in Travel Coventry livery) but you wouldn't have thought it that hard to remove the previous owners name and stick up something with yours, just to reassure customers they are getting on the right bus.

I for one would be hanging my head in shame if I let that bus out on the road with that paintwork. If they haven't got the money for a paint job could they at least borrow a bus painter and some paint from another company and in return provide that company with something else in future, say use of a couple of drivers when possible or office staff?

In all honesty I'd get a can of white srpay paint and go over the city bus name on the front. I'd also have some HJC stick on logos in stock. Its a short term fix but better than doing nothing.

They have removed the "Plymouth" lettering where they could and they have took one number off the Plymouth Fleetnumber to make the HJC fleet number, they have now also peeled half of the contravision off the windows of the other one. They did quite a good job to get them late evening & have them out the next morning.

I can say it is because of the College buses needing to go to the college in the morning & them not having enough buses to cope with demand. I have always said for the last month or 2 that they need at least another 4-5 buses (Preferably DD's) to get back to normal or give up on some routes.

HJC have won a contract to operate a free bus route to ASDA from mid-October, Newly purchased Dart K110 SFJ will be painted in allover Cream to operate the service!

In Halifax, they had a contract for the same ASDA when it opened years ago & it is in the process of been extended now, so when it is finished the service should be starting.

Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company have more money to burn than HJC do. Lets be fair, the MCWs do need work and YHBC will need to invest in them!

I would think only one or 2 will be used with YHBC for Weddings etc. & the others will be just preserved for rallies etc. They will be repainted into HJC Livery & maybe retrimmed internally, I have heard B217 WUL is going to be fully repainted soon.

With the schools being back, at least 2 metrobuses should probably have been out today and indeed out every day, one on the C7 Crossley Heath service and one on the 392 Calder High School service. If you position yourself around King Cross you could probably see both in a 10 minute window around 3:30.

I got on the 16:23 392 from Walsden today, It was a Metrobus & always is. The other service from Crossley Heath to Todmorden was Dart K110 SFJ

If you listened Matthew 217 is not going for full re-paint it is getting the orange re-done for free as they made a mistake on it. + YH bokking are up by 53% this year.
