Back to September 2023 changes: The 36 will go back to every 10 minutes after the works are complete, with timetable changes on the 1 & 2 additionally. Aireline 60 to go to every 20 minutes Leeds - Shipley, with service 60A complementing running a slightly different route in Rodley, running along Bagley Lane, Coal Hill Lane and Calverley Lane to replace the old 508 K2 & K3 will provide a combined every 10 minute frequency K6 will have a slight route alteration for Oakbank School K7 will increase to every 12 minutes, in addition to timetable alterations on the 64 & 72, K1, K4, K6, K9, K14 & K15 A1 will reduce to every 30 minutes Monday - Saturday with morning service withdrawals Early and late services on A2 and A3 being curtailed or cut, www.transdevbus.co.uk/flyer/changes-times-flyer for details Whilst I do appreciate an increase on the 60, my stop in Rodley will be fine but the rest of Rodley will go to a 20/40 split frequency. Rodley has been hit hard with cuts over the past few years and this doesn't improve things. Coal Hill Lane and Calverley Lane are already on, or within a close walk of the 16, 60 and 9. In reality it is people in the centre of Farsley who are missing a direct bus to Kirkstall Road and town. Rerouting the 60 (or 60A as it will be) up Bagley Lane is just a bit silly. I do hope that this means the amount of peak time journeys from Leeds are vastly increased, as we went from a bus every 20 minutes to gaps of 40+ minutes.

Also interesting to note that the now-hourly A1 evening service will depart Leeds at the exact same time as the 60. I mean what is the point?
You could have fooled me with the whole 'low passenger numbers' thing. Every A1 I have been on and seen in recent months has been very busy.

Aye. It was pretty busy as well, and not just with enthusiasts. The rain also held off which was the most important thing. Was i just for one day ? Yes, pretty much to try drum up some publicity for their 29 extension to Horsforth and the White Rose Centre. I do believe it would be a grand idea to run an open topper like this every weekend (maybe every day of the week) during summer school holidays. There were quite a few families with kids on it, and it would be something that I believe would be very popular. It wouldn't necessarily have to be the 29 route, but maybe the company could work with various city museums and attractions to offer a shuttle/ tour bus and discounted entry price.

I see YB ran an old Leyland open top bus on the 29 yesterday! Aye. It was pretty busy as well, and not just with enthusiasts. The rain also held off which was the most important thing.

Currently stood at Horsforth Station (well... the closest bus stop) hoping to catch the 30 to Pudsey (wish me luck). Which of these timetables is correct? the Metro Website one. They'll still be doing roadside ones as there's a backlog of maintainance at present Thanks. The journey is a no show then. Surprise!

Are drivers no longer using the passenger counter on the ticket machines? As that would probably be the best way to get alighting data during the flat fare offer assuming the driver is correctly entering how many people get on/off at each bus stop. I believe drivers are meant to use it, but often I alight the 60 at Leeds bus station and the ticketer machine will say there are still 70 people on board.

It appears that it has become standard practice in recent years for bus operators to review their networks based on data from ticket machines; which of course log where people get on the route and (if buying a single) where they're travelling to.
Now, I rarely buy single tickets as I use an MCard, however I bought two singles the other day; one to Oldham on the 184 and one back to Huddersfield. Upon looking at the tickets, the outbound journey states 'Valid Huddersfield to Marsden Hard End', and the inbound journey states 'valid Oldham Bus Station to Mumps'. This is of course is just the bus driver pressing whichever stop is in front of him on the machine (maybe through laziness) as the fare will be £2 regardless.
How can data be relied upon when the information recorded is incorrect? On their system I never travelled end to end.
Do you believe that this incorrect data can (and does) contribute to route withdrawals/ cuts?

Is there confirmation of this anywhere? It would be great to see Stagecoach back in Huddersfield. A bit more variety. can confirm 3 of the E400s have been in service at Huddersfield today 33889 on 184 as i caught it home Sorry, I meant confirmation that they had lost the contract to Stagecoach.

I can't help but thinking quite a few of the posts on this thread would be better suited in already existing threads. Eg. ZEBRA discussion and questions about individual Arriva and First vehicles. I thought the purpose of this thread was to discuss things that don't fit into other specific threads. This particular forum is fantastic because of how specific and organised it can be, and (almost always) is; unlike other forums such as RailUK and Mersey Dennis Dart; which just dump all information into one messy thread. The ZEBRA is relevant as this is called fleet discussion and ZEBRA funded buses are to be in the fleet so we are on topic. It should either go in the ZEBRA thread, or the First fleet changes thread. The topic is directly relevant to threads that already exist.

I don't suppose anyone knows the whereabouts of MyBus BMC Condor YK06 DAO (68647). It was a First Bradford vehicle and then CT Plus up until they went bust.

Surprisingly, I was wrong. 35556 has now gained a new wrap. It has the Rockstar storms wrap. What's Rockstar Storms? Is it the energy drink?

Looks like the 5 Enviro 400s at Huddersfield may be going now the contract has not been renewed for the University route with First. Is there confirmation of this anywhere? It would be great to see Stagecoach back in Huddersfield. A bit more variety.

I'm currently using the 184 on its new route and am wondering what's the deal with the timings in Oldham? We arrived at Oldham Mumps at about 13:50 (due at 13:55), then sat there until 14:07. We then arrived at Oldham Bus Station at 14:13 (8 minutes late). What's that all about?

3053 is on the 254 again now just it: 0409 on 229 Would I be right in thinking these Solo journeys begin on Eastgate. If so are the passengers waiting at the bus station informed?

no today's the first day's been on. In the past Merc EVM 64525 RO71 GZC has been used. Not the first time, I regularly have this on the 901. Is it used midweek or typically just on Sundays?

I currently have TLC Mellor Strata LN69 OGX on the 901. I haven't used the 901 on a Sunday in years but this doesn't look to be a regular allocation. Pics? Didn't get any pics.

Lol. What a great word 'Hornbying'. Shame it doesn't seem to describe anything. We all have our own interpretations I suppose. I certainly do.
