Bit of a rant about the state of the 35. The latest timetable change means no buses run to Thorpe Edge. The timings throughout the day are pretty much exactly the same as the 60, mostly resulting in the 35, 60 and 508 all running up Leeds and Bradford road together. It still goes from 5 stands away from the 60 which is entirely moronic as more stands are now available cos of the Headrow works. The whole stupidity of First's route planners means that there are 2 buses within a minute to Rodley, Calverley and Greengates (or towards Leeds) then a 30 min gap. This is where Metro should be allowed to step in and regulate a corridor of buses between two operators. I do sometimes wonder if First actually put any thought at all into what they are doing or just make it up as they go along, wearing a blindfold and ear defenders. Or Transdev should amend the 60 to fit in with the 35! God forbid anyone should speak badly of the chosen ones! I would be interested to know if you have any idea re numbers to/from Thorpe Edge, or who actually owns bus station allocation? No mention of a later trip thats been added or actually how the 35 works round a school am. But bash First!! Why should their planners care about the 60 and as both companies have to register services at the same time, how would they even know what their changes are?? Bore off!

Why on earth should Transdev have to change to suit First when they have run to the same times for years. The 670/ 760 combination worked perfectly, but now change the route and timetable without any regard for frequency along the corridor. First don't care about maintaining any connections that existed with the 35. The fact of the matter is the 35 is running almost empty throughout the day, the 60 continues to grow in passenger numbers but unfortunatley the single deckers struggle to cope some times. If you actually live on the route then I would welcome any more opinions you may have

Went on one of the last 670 s from Bradford to Leeds, a few boarded at Thorpe Edge going to Leeds, then got quite busy, there was a transdev 60 behind.
So are first running through from Thorpe Edge? When it was reduced to hourly did people walk on to the 60 route? Are they hoping nobody catches the 35 so they can stop running it?

Something that has snuck in with the Halifax changes, is that many routes now have school time reductions.
The 548 now has hour gaps at school times, the 510 also has a ‘SH’ round trip on an afternoon, and the 521 drops down to every 15 mins at school times.
This all means they can get away with the PVR reduction to cut costs.

Two intresting words, "snuck in", and "got away".. presume you know more about the business model, and the rationale that led to the decisions, and that you suggest, no doubt with fully costed evidence that that commercial decisions made were not correct. Come on people...Really...

The reason these subtle and not so subtle reductions have taken place is to avoid having to increase the PVR with the introduction of the 588 .

Transdev have started uploading timetables for changed services during the UCI Cycling championships with those for "Route 1", 24 and 36 currently available at yorkshire2019travel.com/"Route 1" is significantly different to the details originally announced for Sat 21st with no short workings on the 1B or 1C in Knaresborough listed. On the other hand outside of the disruption the 1D will also now operate. The 36 is affected on the 21st, 24th and 25th with a number of services between Harrogate and Ripon withdrawn.

On the 24th and the 27th, they say they 'Will operate to and from Pannal Ash/Beckwith Knowle via Otley Road only.'.
