B7RLE 69018 currently in Buses of Somerset livery is due to transfer to Huddersfield from Bridgwater this Sunday. Could this not be 60918 ? 69018 is a bit new for Huddersfield 😆 Isn`t 60918 already at Bradford? Regards Gary

What would be better would be for Leeds to not send their cast off 12 plate Gemini’s out of West Yorkshire and maybe consider replacing some of the older ALX400s at Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. Or if the bosses in Leeds had a say in it, the could send some 2004 Geminis. Hudds & Fax offer small profit. Means they'll get small investments.

Another problem is these streetdecks, e400s and what not are classed as city buses. I feel these would be way too big and not have enough power to take on Huddersfield/Halifax. They have a lot more power and perform a lot better than the vast majority of ALXs Huddersfield and Halifax operate now. Policy is new buses in Leeds means the next newest out to other opcos. Common sense would suggest the older Geminis replacing ALXs as more and more new vehicles arrive in Leeds over the next 18 months. Highly doubtful the turnover in Huddersfield and Halifax can sustain a batch of new deckers, smaller single decks such as E200MMCs maybe.

Although you’d assume the 503 & X63 do well, so they shouldn’t really still be using 2005 Gemini’s.

60918 is at Bradford and is a B7L, 69018 is a B7RLE

Given the recent slow influx of B7Ls at Huddersfield recently it wouldn’t surprise me if that Is actually due to arrive.

Huddersfield are experiencing a bit of a vehicle shortage at the moment, believed to be caused by a backlog of MOT's and a high level of breakdowns with the ALX400's, hence the flurry of recent loans and transfers.

This is possibly an advert for the Leeds P&R. The allocated vehicles are green in colour if memory serves.

Zoom in, you'll see the rear still has the green wrap, and you can also see the Ad-blu flap still covered in green.

You should see Y952CSF, the worst of the Doncaster buses. Not had a new repaint for it's 17 years in service, not to mention the other CSF's !!

All the Y-CSFs are due for disposal with 62232 gone already and 62239/62240 withdrawn over the past few days.

Scanias 61029 & 61040 now withdrawn, 60066, 60067 & 61036 still on. Unsure about 60214 can anybody confirm whether it's withdrawn or not?

Have buses moved Hunslet Park to Bramley, as the new Streetdecks are at HP but the Scanias being withdrawn were at Bramley?

Yes, 60214 was withdrawn around two weeks ago. Shame, it was a great sounding bus, reminiscent of an AEC Swift.

Also I believe the 4 x Volvo B7Ls at Hunslet Park namely 60912, 60913, 66324 & 66347 are moving to Bramley.

Had 60066 yesterday on 91’s, still going strong. 60214 definitley withdrawn, awaiting scrapman, all First names and reg’s painted over. Most have had this treatment now

I was waiting at Hunslet Road for the Arriva’s into Leeds ( had a week Arriva ticket) and saw 66347 on 47, then 66324 on 74A a couple of minutes behind. This morning.

I did read somewhere that the 32XXX B7TLs were better suited to the 503 than a B9TL, but I have to say - I'd be surprised at that. I travelled on a many a rough B9TL in my time in Glasgow and they still had plenty in the tank to tackle numerous steep hills with FULL loads.
