More old tat to Huddersfield again then. Cant quite believe how time has flown, when we can refer to Wright Gemini's as "old tat", Not disagreeing that their no longer young anymore, but they've got to be an improvement on the ALX's they've been brought in to replace.

37123 now at Halifax depot Hopefully not the only B9 to make it to Halifax for actual passenger service. I wonder if it's the first of the batch of 37123-132... ?

Huddersfield seem to be getting the 04 batch of Geminis from Leeds. Bradford have received 32460 too! Halifax getting the newer B9s.

Still dont believe it would happen anyway!!!lol.

If the 508 is still run from Halifax when the clean air zone comes into Leeds they will need euro 6 or converted equivalent buses to run it.This also includes School runs entering Leeds. Crazy times are ahead. It makes you wonder if a lot of operators will build the fine for not using euro 6 vehicles into their quotes to run these services which if everybody tendering does that it would end up the Councils / Tax payers footing the bill if not enough Euro 6 operators or vehicles are available.

I've had a few ramblings on the subject of B9's, but this is great news for Halifax in my opinion. Easily the best type I've ever travelled on. (I was lucky enough to have 37186-227 from brand new during my time in Glasgow).

It does make you wonder how they’d tackle the 508. Unless Hunslet Park want to take on the route with Euro 6 buses

I’m guessing they will retrofit some mid age Gemini’s and send them to Halifax for the 508.
There is also Bradford’s X11 as well

Wouldn’t be surprised if they keep it going or route it straight into Leeds down Stanningley bypass with Farsley to Leeds covered by an X16 or 36 dependent on route chosen.
I can see them more likely to terminate the 508 at Pudsey bus station unless the new layout for New Pudsey railway station allows buses to terminate and a seamless merge with the X6
X11 will be interesting. It is quite busy and popular with Pudsey and Swinnow residents and hasn’t abstracted the X14 very much. I would be disappointed to see it changed to meet the CAZ.

Is this really what might happen? First really don't like Halifax having new buses do they? Unless the rumour of the Enviros transferring is true?

Rumour suggests 695- series Eclipse 2s to be converted to Euro 6 for 508, but what you need to bear in mind regarding short working of the 508 is the big money is between Farsley and LEEDS, like it used to be between Stanningley and Leeds. Pudsey bus station, Dawsons corner ,Thornbury roundabout would be marginal commercially at best.

I still think the 508 would get more use if it went direct to Leeds, with another service picking up the Farsley route.

According to First bus enthusiasts Facebook site, 66745,69207,69012 from Bridgewater, and 69208 and 69013 from Taunton are on their way to West Yorkshire or have arrived in the last couple of hours. Halifax for 69012/3 perhaps to go with 69011/4?? Chuckles to ones self after reading Danny's latest post, it would appear that, although at the time I had got my 62's and 60's mixed up, I was sort of right!!! Lol. Secondly, could the recent repaint of the 69 series Eclipse that Leeds borrowed for a while, back up the post of Andy1??

Yeah, I drove 60843 down to Barnsley - such a smooth drive, the bodies don’t rattle at all. On the way back we collected 66745 and like all Eclipse bodies you could here everything
