Think all this should just be kept under that thread so it's easier to keep up with otherwise the same info/questions get asked in two separate threads.

~PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS~ It's the last day of the olympians of First bus. Now, It's been a pleasure having these around and I've got so many memories! 30816 remembered for it's brill ZF, 30818 remembered for it's lost exhuast!!! 30843 for it's stunning livery and engine and simply 30822 for being 30822! Tonnes more memories I could share with you guys but I would be here for about a week typing it all up! I hope the ones that have moved onto another company are looked aftered and the ones that are scrapped, well, I hope the stuff is recycled! FUTURE: Now we have quite a boring future ahead of us apart from the eclipse urban 2003-2006 Huddersfield has some more ALX400's and some 2006 B7TL's and they sound quite lovely :-) As you may or not of been aware but 30847 had the junction 32 ad on the back and that has been taken off now showing the old livery again which I find quite unique! 30848 just says 'dersfield' for the skylines too. These show a sign of withdrawn time almost for the early ones! Thanks for taking the time to read this! See you around :-)

For Historic reference:
Last Olympian in service (Bradford) - 31767 (R931 WOE) did the 17:35 Bradford to Halifax 576 and returned back dead. Last Olympian in service (Huddersfield) - 30840 (T660 VWU) did the 16:00 Golcar Circular and arrived back at 16:43 and finished Last Olympian in Service (Halifax) - 30805 (R625 JUB) did the 19:10 Bradford - Halifax 576 and went back in, making it the last one in service for the whole of West Yorkshire.

Bramley has withdrawn 61039 with suspected fuel pump failure. It's unlikely to see the road again.

I'll be upset that the royales are leaving (Huddersfield) as I have been on them most days for the past 4 months ( as I go on K3 every day)

Halifax -
30849 & 30860 are withdrawn for scrap. 30855,6,7,9 will come off when MOTs run out.
30800,05,09,44 withdrawn - I managed to have 30805 out all day on 520, 579 & 576 for the last day. Tomorrow I will be taking 30805 & 30844 to PVS alone with 30800 and 09 with another garage man.
31807,8 and 31775 are been stored to be used on the Leeds Festival work

I was in Leeds yesterday and noted a number of Olympians/Royales well populated on some sort of event in Leeds. The first 2 I saw where to far away to be identified but I presumed to be 31807/808 as reported previously to be in reserve for such services. Later I saw 30866/30840/30815 in procession on similar services. Can anyone identify what has gone for disposal and what is still serviceable?.
Kind regards

Half of those buses listed were never at Halifax or Huddersfield?

Indeed that's true and only serves for me to again question the need for a separate thread for HX/Hudds withdrawls in the first place. I mentioned this on July 15th (my response copied below) when questions were being asked which had already been answered in the main fleet changes thread which is where all the HX/Hudd info should have gone in the first place.
This is mentioned/answered in the fleet changes thread. Think all this should just be kept under that thread so it's easier to keep up with otherwise the same info/questions get asked in two separate threads.

Why are the W reg one's being withdrawn, are they not dda compliant?. Yes they're not DDA compliant as these were new in 2000. Buses built from 2001 onwards are DDA compliant. So unless they modify them to be DDA compliant as they have done with other ALX400s, these buses won't be allowed in service from 2017.

No mention of the other W reg batch though, the W---KBT ones. Have these been modified? Thanks.
