on the eclipses, pulsars and geminis (possibly olympuses as well) if the driver doesnt shut the doors straight away they shut themselves after 2 mins and I have witnessed that happen. Facts that a driver should know ..... ! The Geminis and Darwen Volvo's shut the doors with 2 seconds of releasing the handbrake if the button isnt pressed (buzzer on Gemini's sounds to remind driver) The Pulsars wont move until the button is pressed to shut the doors even if the handbrake is released (buzzer sounds to remind driver). The Commanders (499 and a couple of the 1400 excepted) wont move until the doors are fully shut after the button is pressed and halt brake releases (interlocked fitted) Can not comment on the Eclipses. Penfold Interesting facts Penfold. I've heard the buzzer thing numerous times on the Geminis. I've often heard a strange click many times on the Pulsars. Could this be connected with the door locking mechanism?

The 'strange' click sounds like its the halt brake coming on if its heard a few seconds after the bus has come to a stop but without the handbrake being applied. Penfold

Penfold Our Eclipses at First, you can set off with doors opened, but after 5mph (I think) the doors will shut. You can also leave the handbrake off on them to open the doors, same with all our 37*** Geminis. On our Hybrids you can open doors without hand break, but the warning buzzer comings on. With the newer buses 362**/338**/352** you have to have the handbrake on to open doors, and close them you need to wait til they are fully shut.

Hardly any presidents left at Selby to do the 476 to be fair! That said I had the joys of 687 on a 148 yesterday. 476 is usually a Darwen but can be 260-2 early morning

Penfold I don't think it would take much to DDA them if required - they look to have made a start on 654 which we now have at Stagecarriage as it seems to have everything ready! North East did a few Cadets as an emergency towards the end of last year so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen to these if required.
