the olympus may be there on loan although it would have made sense to send either a lowlander,alx400 or any ikarus/prestige/alx200/alx300/pointer/solo that hasnt gone for scrap as that would be more useful as 7485 is restricted to routes it can go on like the olympians were and cant go elsewhere unlike the other options. Not entirely sure any of that list would do much good on the X93 to Whitby. Hopefully it's just a temporary loan until something better comes along. The vechiles I listed are ones that could have come to selby and/or any other Yorkshire depot and not be stuck at selby like 7485 will more than likely be.

Volvo B7TL / ALX400 with Max livery but urban90 seats internally! We have been using some of them on Metro replacements recently in North Tyneside.

Arriva London doesn't have any 55 plate presidents, they don't have any presidents anymore, and I'm not sure anyone had 55 plate ones, hadn't the model been discontinued by then? The seats are being replaced by Max leather ones, but not all have been done yet, as they haven't entered service on Max routes yet, but have been drafted in for Metro replacements. Nobody is scrapping a 55 plate bus. Arriva's ALX400s were W reg, much older. The style of seating isn't usually a deciding factor when deciding to scrap a bus.

Okay I hold my hands i may have misworded my previous post, What i mean is are the 55 plate ALX400s any good on hills like 651-674 were/are or would the be used as a quicker to the scrapheap??? The part re the seats is that urban90 seats arent comfy on long runs eg 229, 212 or 268/268a were as the style of seat on 651-674 examples are comfortable and did good on long routes.

Would this also mean the end for the Selby President? Are 10 year plus ex-London Geminis really something you should be crossing your fingers for................... Whatever they are, they can't be worse than those Presidents, especially if they were specced to TfL standard.

True but currently the only apparent losses at Selby for these Geminis are some of their Volvo Olympuses

It would be nice to see Castleford regaining Volvo B7TL-ALX400s in terms of these ex-London 55-reg examples. I would find it tidier to have all Olympuses here or all in the North East, preferably at the same garage or on the same route, rather than split between both areas of the country.

Well looks like your right Selby are now due a batch of Volvo B7s Alx's from next month to turn the ageing fleet around bye to the Presidents ?

Been told that 1808 may be a long time if it dose come back to Selby as its in bits at the minute so looks like 7485 staying at the minute which is allocated the York school 637 route then parked in Piccadilly all day at the minute
