Re: mainline 25. Last renumbered in 2011 however the number 25 has been used for years ( was 669 before that to fit in with the 666-668 group) M3 and M4 used to be used for the minibus routes in the Haworth area. The 25 number was used from 1982. From 26/10/97, service 25 Burnley to Keighley was replaced by X43 Manchester - Keighley extension, operating via the Aire Valley By-pass. Keighley & District operated a 25 but only to Colne via Eastburn & Steeton. On 30/4/2000 the 25 returned as before but ran via Airedale Hospital.

Otherwis u can imagine some confused soles in Middleton

Penfold If it is retendered. I believe it was part of the planning conditions of the store that they ran a service - for 2 years I believe, which must be nearly up.

Interesting. I still don't see any logic to running it as a through service rather than keeping separate services from Harrogate to Ripon and Ripon to York as now. It looks very much like they are prioritising the main towns a long the route, and a lot of villages are going to be losing out, particularly the Dishforth and Marton branch, which looks to only have one journey in each direction if I've read it too right, which is a very disappointing reduction. I assume this is entirely commercial, apart from the diversion into Hessay? I wonder if NYCC will step in and fund any additional services to those villages. NYCC have also cancelled their sole demand responsive 1345 Ripon-Boroughbridge Mon-Fri DR02 along the 23/143 route but are now showing a DR08 along the 23/143 route from next Tuesday running Tue, Thur and Fri only at 1018 and 1218 from Ripon and 1055 and 1255 from Boroughbridge www.northyorkstravel.info/timetable/DR08may.pdf
