268 Branded Arriva 1903 working a 229 through White Lea area this morning. Also, has anyone seen opening dates for either Heckmondwike or Castleford bus stations. Regards Gary Heckmondwike Hub (to give it, it's official name), will be either opening March or April, we've been told. Not ALL services will be using it. We already know that the 209/19 Leeds, 254 Leeds, 268/A Bradford WON'T be using it, they will stay using the existing stands at the far end of the Green and in front of William Hill's (268/A's). The rest including 229 Huddersfield are to use the four shelters. How idiotic can authorities be? It's some trek for people wanting to change buses, especially those not fully ambulant.

Well the only reason they aren't calling it a bus station is because Heckmondwike feel badly done to compared to Cleckheaton and Batley. A collection of bus stops on a bus only road has been defined as a bus station though in the past and probably will be once it opens. Heckmondwike was practically the only place that didn't have a bus station, everywhere else pretty much has one. There's only the likes of maybe Morley that doesn't. Of course Wetherby Bus Station only has 1 stop actually within it. A good few years ago, around the time Cleck & Batley Bus Stations were being built, Metro were going to build a proper bus station in Heckmondwike. The site was going to be opposite Morrisons, but instead the Health Centre was agreed upon in place of a bus station. If I remember correctly when the area opposite the entrance to the Park was repaved a few years ago the site was boarded up with a large sign behind the post box there saying that this the site for the new bus station, how the mighty have fallen!!!!!

Yes the 278 just after 2pm leaves Dewsbury earlier out of pattern so it can serve Brooksbank School. Hence a bus from the 130/205/212 cycle swaps onto 278, and in turn a bus moves the opposite way.

I wonder if the Heckmondwike Hub is the start of some new mini bus stations, although I have seen more bus stops in some School Bus laybys. I wonder if the council will doing anything to the lights at the junction of Heckmondwike Green Well the only reason they aren't calling it a bus station is because Heckmondwike feel badly done to compared to Cleckheaton and Batley. A collection of bus stops on a bus only road has been defined as a bus station though in the past and probably will be once it opens. Of course Wetherby Bus Station only has 1 stop actually within it. Suppose you could Shipley Market Place a bus station as well!

They could well be despite there's no word on what'd replace the artics as I've heard no news on suitable full sized replacements however I wish that was true about them coming over here to Leeds. I doubt CoY council has as much funds as they did last time, so I doubt the Park & Ride vehicles will be replaced any time soon. They don't need replacing, nobody could justify it.

Arriva Belle Isle had Enviro 200 1027 on the Free City Bus this morning in place of 3043, but it couldn't have been too serious since 3043 was out in the afternoon freeing up 1027 for a spell on 147.
The 126/7 collection from Belle Isle today was Commander 1407, Pulsar 1451 and Spectra 718. All 4 126/7 branded Geminis continue to be used on 110

Whilst travelling North on M1 from Wakefield towards York at 0930 this morning 3 Wright bodied double deckers in yellow livery with green lettering between decks traveling south in a convoy. As there is a concrete wall between the carriageways no chance of a reg number. The word Hybrid could be seen. Any ideas where they were bound(in hope)
