A quick question:
At the minute on Sundays the 253 interworks with the 231/232 daytime workings. Will the 253 being replaced by the 268 on the Wakefield section, will this become a stand-alone working or will we be seeing Max E400's on the 231/232 Sunday daytimes?

The 253 Sunday timetable is confined to Bradford to Dewsbury only and already worked by Heckmondwike

Thought it was the 212 route that interlinks with 231/2 on Sundays Correct, hence the odd one way trips Tates run to cover the gaps. The 231/2 must get the largest variety of buses over the week, there are working from Tiger at Waterloo, Arriva from Belle Isle and Dewsbury, and First from Huddersfield and Hunslet Park, just short of some Tates, Stagecoach or Transdev workings on it for a full set so to say

The Sunday 253's never went to Wakefield, the Sunday journeys only ever did Dewsbury-Bradford,and since August 2014, the 253 to and from Dewsbury have been interworked with the 254.
The 268 from 24 January will replace 253/4/78 journeys to/from Wakefield
Tates put their Sunday 278 on, in 2013, when, they were doing the 128/205 short journeys to get vehicle and Driver to/from Dewsbury when Arriva Dewsbury operated the 212 which interworked with 231/2. When Metro scrapped paying for 128/205 on the Sunday journeys,Tates kept their 278 running, as it gave a half hour service between both companies, unlike that other 278 that has to run 5minutes in front.

Re: Bradford area services 607 613 614 615 616 630 to be amended. From April 2012 some services were amended and split at Bradford, allowing interworking on Sunday daytime (also involving 612). . Don't know the exact pattern (Anyone got a list?), but at present buses struggle to keep to schedule after a late-running incoming service. Wonder if the interworkings are to be altered and timekeeping will improve?
615>607HW>614>? 612>616>?

One change not previously mentioned is the 549 increasing to every 30 mins on Sundays
I've always thought the hourly service was a bit poor. What they should have done though, is run both the 548 and 549 hourly on Sundays meaning there wouldn't be any need for the 625

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did I not see somewhere that the 576 is to be split from this date. Or is my grey matter not working like it did?

402/3 (Arriva) - Revised timetable with 1455 weekday journey from Selby and 1625 weekday journey from Leeds withdrawn Saying that I use the 1625 402 from Leeds often, its often greatly loaded, and sometimes full & standing especially if a E200/Dart turns up on it. This wont go down well with commuters from Micklefield/Sherburn Also I see SGI up to their usual tricks, taking on competition on the Wakefield - Dewsbury via Flushdyke corridor

Yes the 625 was introduced after the e/Su 548 was withdrawn. Personally I find the 625 to be useful (serves Brighouse Town FC) & don't see why you'd want it withdrawn.

The 254 us still going to Wakefield? The Changing Times booklet from Metro doesn't mention any route curtailment, so can assume it still is. However, they have changed the booklet, as the Try1 and Try2 buses will be operated by Yorkshire Tiger and not First, as was previously mentioned in the booklet. - Try1 (First) - New service between Greengates, Pudsey and Headingley stadium, running on Leeds Rhinos matchdays
- Try2 (First) - New service between Gledhow, Alwoodley and Headingley stadium, running on Leeds Rhinos matchdays

The booklet is wrong, as, the 254 isn't continuing through to Wakefield. It will be just running Leeds - Dewsbury
The 268 is replacing 253/4/78 between Dewsbury & Wakefield every 20minutes Mon-Fri as at present, and every 15minutes on Saturdays, better than at present, with Evenings & Sunday's still hourly.

Notice up at Heckmondwike depot, stating, that the journeys that continue through to Wakefield will be numbered 268A
Only time will tell, if passengers understand that A goes through to Wakefield, and NO A doesn't!!!!

it is confusing as usually an A means there's a route variation en route_ don't really see the point.
