There's been talk between drivers about a rumour that the 150's (wakefield-Knott) will no longer serve broomhill but will terminate at common lane.

The 209/19/29 changes could be in Heckmondwike to serve the New Bus Satation Didn't know that was happening now? Last we heard it was put on hold. Before that they were waiting for the taxi place to sell their building so they could start building work. Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards

225, X25 not serving hunsworth due to reliability and low use. Now via Gomersal. 253 254 278 terminate at dewsbury all services 268 every 10 minutes, every other bus to Wakefield via 278 route. Hourly evenings.
Understanding of above.

Some confirmed changes for 26 January 2015 in Holmfirth: *H4/H6 - Re-routed to run a circular routes between Holmfirth and Brockholes with service H4 running from Holmfirth via Lidl, Holme Valley Hospital, Thongsbridge, Brockholes, Thongsbridge and Wooldale back to Holmfirth and service H6 running in opposite direction. *H7 - Service reduced to two morning journeys each way between Hepworth and Holmfirth only via Jackson Bridge and New Mill. Hade Edge is still served by Tates Travel's 92 service. Stotts continue to operate these services. wymetro.com/Holme_Valley_Minibus/

As the 92 is hourly on weekdays, perhaps the H7 is now superfluous.

I am a little disappointed at the lack of interest in the new route 800 by TJW! Now come on, let's have some more ideas - the new route will terminate at a destination not used in my knowledge for 40 years. Ideas / suggestions please.

It wouldn't happen to be Holmfield Ind Est as It's quite isolated but does have a number of companies with a number of employees, the nearest services to it are the 539 and 504 which don't run at a frequency to tempt workers there to use the bus.

Its not 40 years, its actually 30 ! the last service to terminate at the Raggalds public house was the 278 Dewsbury /Queensbury run by Yorkshire Woollen District, (Now Arriva) an NBC Subsidiary during the last quarter of 1984. I only know this as I was a conductor on the 526/503 Newlands / Hunger hill section for the Metro Calderdale division of WYPTE, who then decided to extend the 526 HH Service to Shelf every hour Mon to Sat daytime to compensate for some of the service loss, hard to believe today but the first departure to Shelf was 0550! Of course the Shelf extension lives on today down to 3 journeys per day. Details of TJ Walsh's 800 service and the other very interesting service changes can be found on the Consultation page of the Metro site ,Bus service review page , Calderdale review outcome updated 12th December.

The answer is on the Metro website 800: Halifax – Ovenden Way – Furness Drive – Raggalds Inn wymetro.com/uploadedFiles/WYMetro/Content/consultation/busreview/Service%20800(1).pdfTimetables for the January changes in Calderdale are on the Metro website, which gives some more details to services: *501 - Placement journeys for Yorkshire Tiger running between Elland and Halifax, running to Halifax in the mornings and to Elland early evenings/late night *504 - Continues to be operated by TJ Walsh *513/554 - Services merged together to run as hourly circular routes 513/514 with 513 running from Halifax to Mixenden via Nursery Lane and Illingworth before returning to Halifax via Wainstalls and Mount Tabor. Service 514 will run in opposite direction. *535 - First to continue running Sunday daytime service. Mon-Sat evening service run as Yorkshire Tiger service 511. *546 - Operated by Tiger Blue (K-Line) *553 - Operated by Yorkshire Tiger instead of Tiger Blue. *X58 - Monday-Saturday service to run daytime only plus one additional journey at 2125 from Halifax, returning from Rochdale at 2235. Sunday service to run daytime every 2 hours wymetro.com/consultation/busreview/calderdale/

Morrisons to the Raggalds by everybody's backyard in the Illingworth area, 15 minutes!!!It'll be interesting to see how many journeys operate late. The Cousin lane/ Turner Avenue/ Raw Lane bit will take at least 7 or 8 minutes I should imagine, even at the 30 mph speed limit. Then in the higher Illingworth area, some more pottering about in residential streets. No, try as I might, I cannot see any logical timing there.

Note that the 511 will run every 20 minutes and that the 504 will run from Union Street not the Bus Station.

I'm pleased to see the 523 going half hourly (albeit at the expense of the 522). Now, if only First would run the service a little later into the evening...

For a short period of time, probably early 1990's when the place held a late night disco, a 526 journey ran up to the Raggalds Inn on a Friday/Saturday night. I think it was around 23.05 as the last trip normally was at 22.15 through to Hungerhill.

Thanks for the correction, Andy 1 - I was out by a decade, but never mind it started a few people thinking. I do think that it will be difficult to turn round at 'The Raggalds' at the meeting of 4 roads. I presume buses will turn around in the pub car park.

Yes I agree, quite a nasty crossroads especially at rush hour and during bad weather! Remember series 1 or 2 Leyland Nationals turned round here ! As a footnote I am led to believe the 278 in 1984 was a truncated version of a route that was originally Wakefield/Dewsbury to Keighley!

Absolutely correct andy1 - Yorkshire Woollen District & West Riding ran a long established Route 3 from Wakefield - Dewsbury - Brighouse - Queensbury - Cullingworth in the mid 1940s until at least the early 70s. On a similar theme, there was another long Route 2 from Ossett - Keighley via Brighouse & Halifax run by YWD.

I notice they seem to have the 504 and 800 running at exactly the same time from probably the same stop, must surely be a mistake?

Changes to the 92 and 93 from mid January (can't remember date but it's around mid Jan), the 93 won't serve Bishopsgate Street but will instead stop on Infirmary Street, both the 92 and 93 will have extra running time to combat issues with traffic and both will have a totally revised timetable including some extra late night journeys.

Plus the 150 in Selby is missing the estates out around Westbourne Road and Moatway as will be replaced with the Selby town service
