I live in north Leeds on the 36 route and one of my non enthusiast neighbours calls the Transdev 36 Geminis ' Funeral Cars '. :-)

Transdev are actually fairly consistent with liveries now. Outside of Transdev York, most are in the correct liveries with distinct brands. Lancashire United is much better than Spot On which has been mostly eradicated now. It's good to hear the Spot On is no longer on, and the new Lancashire Way livery is very obviously related to the Lancashire United livery, which is a welcome change too. But whereas the Lancashire Way, Witch Way and The 36 were all clearly related, now the Witch Way and The 36 have gone in separate directions, both looking unutterably dull but not evidently from the same design farm as any other Transdev brand. Harrogate Connect likewise is so drab and monotonous, and doesn't bear any resemblance to their other liveries. At one point, it looked as though they were going for harmonised design themes, but with different colour schemes across the different divisions. That seemed to make a lot of sense. All buses are then recognisably Transdev, reinforcing the national brand, but at the same time distinctively different, reinforcing the local operation – a good solution. But now they seem to be throwing that in the bin and going for complete disorder.

The Witch Way is a Ray Stenning Best Impressions livery, think this was the first time Transdev in this area have used his design house. Not sure who did the current 36 scheme but I know the original 36 Gemini livery in 2003 was done by a fairly unheard of Company who were also responsible for the Keighley 'Zone' livery.

1014 was im wakefield bus station next to 1009. The max livery & interior are fine but the wifi is 100000% crap as I discovered last thursday on board 1901, you cant use social media, although this site is fine, everything will take time as well as trial & error to discover what CAN be viewed. Both 1009 and 1014 were being used for driver training/familiarisation this morning and were on the roads near the bus station as well as the bus station

The hybrids have wifi too, 'moovbox' or something similar, I wonder why they never fully configured I, or if they will ever configure it?

You have to accept the terms and conditions otherwise it won't connect, this is on any WiFi in public places. It should pop up on the top bar on Android phones asking you to sign in.

Please let's keep this on topic. Can I suggest you contact Arriva to sort out the confusion rather than posting further on here. Thanks.

Does anyone know when the new E200s start service? I was thinking about going to Wakefield tomorrow to sample 1.

Just passed 5 or 6 e200s in convoy on Heath Common heading for BI. Must say that they look a lot better with branding applied

Heard they've started service now, 1020 on 114 about an hour ago. Going to sample it tomorrow.

Launch took Place at LS Live in Langthwaite Buisness Park, South Kirkby with all 30 E200's parked outside in full Sun. Gemini 1508 used to transport the special Guests from Wakefield. All of the E200's left the Estate around 1345 bound for Wakefield or Castleford for immediate introduction service, first one in service was 1020 on 1432 Ex-Wakefield 114 to Wrenthorpe (Yours truly first one on board!) with all the rest coming in shortly after. Between 1430 and 1630 all V Reg Darts were changed over the the New E200's with 208 being the last Dart in service today!

Have these new E200s at Wakefield got leather seats? I understand Arriva are choosing e-leather as standard now, at least outside London.

If Wakefield are due some Sapphire Enviro400s for the 110 service as some have speculated, then I would expect the Geminis to move to Dewsbury for the 202/203 routes and possibly refurbished to 'MAX' spec, and then the Darwens either to Heckmondwike or Castleford to replace Volvo B7TLs.

There are now reports of 16 new deckers for Yorkshire as part of the extended order - but I understand they are for the 202/203. All the 'Sapphire; schemes for 2014 have been decided upon and the Yorkshire 110 isn't part of the scheme.
