I like the idea of CentreBus bringing plenty of Marshalls to West Yorkshire. I notice that the above photo features 3 different bodyworks.

They have sold them because they can get 2-3 decent Tridents for the money they get from one Olympus and Tridents are a lot more reliable than them Scanias

Centrebus got shed loads of money for selling them (as you said at least 2 Tridents for 1 Scania if not more), Scanias are a little more expensive to run & there is a marked reduction in the double deck requirement in Centrebus (from Easter Leicester will be down to 2 decker contracts). Fuel prices mean that you only want a decker if you absolutely need one and so deckers are being concentrated on selected school flows.

Vix are the people they get ACIS from. Look nice following a search online. Also, in unrelated news, Leeds are waiting for a further two additions to their fleet. Let the rumors commence...

Not sure about the time-line as the funding deal was only tied up last week so (I think the order has gone in but not 100% on that), given experience with other depots, getting someone up and running in a month seems a little tight on timescale, they hadn't even decided which depot would convert first as of last week. Everyone should be done this year and unless something goes wrong I would expect them all done by early summer but I will be incredibly impressed if they can get any depot done by Easter. Not sure what additions Leeds could possibly be expecting as it is one of the few depots with no changes in the pipeline in the near future so there is no specific need for a change in the fleet, not heard any suggestions of anything either.

I heard today we are getting them in 3 Month time but Leeds are getting them before. That would sound plausible, the question was whether it would be Leeds first then Elland (the initial proposal) or Elland first the Leeds (the alternative) in either case to be followed by Waterloo & K-Line. 3-months to get two depots up and running would be tight but do-able since the time consuming work is programming the fares and that will likely all be done together in one due to the more standardised rules in Yorkshire.

Does anyone know what the regular workings are for double decks with Centrebus, does the daytime 60 & peak hour 757s still see deckers?

If they are going on the 301/302 Golcar circulars, they should have ordered the Max version instead.

Noticed that K Line 613 (Wright Commander SB200) has been repainted. I assume that the Centrebus/K Line identity will be kept separated.

The initial 60 services still see a decker as that comes off the schools, obviously different in school hols, bizarrely the 1300 working from leeds till the end of service sees an airport bus. The peak time 757 also regular sees a decker. If a spare airport bus is available that goes on it instead.

See the peak time 757s when coming from work in the evening. The first journeys always the full one usually airport omnicity, the second ones 10/15 mins behind either omnicity or Dennis trident. Usually less busy. This is for both arriving around 18:10 - 18:30 weekdays.

The peak time 757 also regular sees a decker. If a spare airport bus is available that goes on it instead. The decker workings are scheduled to cover the 60 until 1300 as stated (that is when the drivers would swap and the decker needs to come off for the school so that seemed the most sensible time - the replacement working isn't technically an airport branded working but since it needs a bigger vehicle and most non-deckers are branded it normally will be). That working also covers 3 trips on the 38 in the evening after it's school. Deckers are also scheduled for the various Uni services (there is 1 on the 92 between the peaks, the 94 & the Bradford Uni - 99). A decker is currently scheduled to cover the afternoon 757 extra but since this goes out just after the 92 afternoon extra bus the depot may swap these round so the decker covers the 92 & the spare single covers the 757 without affecting anything else.
