So what do we think will be the next for the refurbishment treatment? Remaining BI 'Commanders, last few Cas LF 'Spectras (as well as BI's 704) or the Eclipses? I myself would like to see what the Eclipses would look like in 'Interurban'. My favourite bus in the AY fleet. Would love to see a few of 'em over at Cas one day.

It was shown as away on the allocation sheets at the begining of this week believing that it had returned to Blackpool for work on the flooring to be completed. Penfold

Visited a coachbuilders at Blackburn, yesterday afternoon, there was a W---CWX ALX400 there, looked to have been tarted up. Unfortunately I was whisked away by my boss before I could get the number. It was not at Coach and Bus World. Penfold, are you sure it is Blackpool, if it is, the local enthusiasts have not seen them, and that is unusual, but I have seen AY buses at this coachbuilders, which is situated just inside the boundary of Oswaldtwistle, going away from Blackburn.

Rode on LF Spectra 714 tonight, on the 19.02 Knottingley-Wakefield '150'. And was really impressed with the refurbishment job. You don't really see much difference when you're travelling in daylight hours, it's only after dark that you can appreciate how much work goes into the refurb to make the buses cleaner, brighter, and more passenger friendly. Well done to all concerned.

I am looking forward to riding one more than the imminent Volvo B5LHs!

Just a few more to do now (The Castleford ones, 708/9/10/13) and that's 'em all done. Would think they could end up back at BI once the 'hybrids' appear though.

The Enviro200s have a different colour seat shell to other buses and they stand out like a sore thumb.

The Heckmondwike and ex-Heckmondwike Presidents at Selby 687-696 sill have seats covered on the older aqurablue material. Also in this material are the Lowlanders, some of the Commanders in both 1400-1408 and 1409-1415 batches, as well as the Eclipses and Enviro400 already reported, then there is poor old 109 with it's rather well worn seats, although they are in keeping with the rest of it, tatty 57, 58 and 499 did have a Arriva Bus and Coach seat material, not sure these have been replaced yet.

After you reported your ride on a LF Spectra on route 410, I am keen to ride a refurbished one on that route. I am prepared that, by the time they are refurbished, they could have moved to BI. I think this would unite most if not all LF Spectras there.

Arriva Castleford 710 has now been repainted and (I Think) retrimmed. 167 also seems to have had a repaint.
