I have seen threads concentrating on specific batches of vehicles, individual vehicles or repaints. However, for the sake of "new" rides, I am particularly interested in Arriva Yorkshire refurbishments, hence this new thread. Last April I rode a refurbished Volvo B10BLE-Wright and Volvo B7TL-ALX400, I believe from Castleford garage. I saw some refurbished MPDs in Wakefield but didn't get to ride one. Maybe I will this Saturday? If any of you see any refurbishments, especially of Spectras or Volvo B7TL-Presidents, feel free to report them here! Thanks.

All the Belle Isle MPD's at Belle Isle 201-221, 223, 225 and 230 have been refurbished, those at Castleford 224, 226-229, have not.
All the renowns are now at castleford and with the exception of 109 all have been refurbished. Unfortunately in my view the seats on 109 leave a little to be desired.
ALX400's in the new trim at Castleford are 651, 659, 661, 662, 663, 669, 671, 672, 673 and 674, with just 656 at Heckmondwike.
The following Presidents at Selby are in the new trim 675, 679, 681, 682, 684 and 685. The Presidents at Heckmondwike all had tidy seats but in the older Arriva Trim.
I'm not aware of any Low Floor Spectra's 7xx's in the new trim. Just a general observation but the ones at Belle Isle which were Belle Isle or ex Heckmondwike will have much tidier seats than those remaining at Castleford or either 714 or 715 recently transfered to Belle Isle from Castleford.
The Step Spectras all at Belle Isle 624-641 have tidy Grey seats.

Thanks Timelesstable, and for such a quick update at that! The MPD refurbs bode well for Wakefield, and I may well look out for a Selby President on route 150 there or route 403 at Leeds.
About step-entrance Spectras and their grey seats, I notice within Arriva how this moquette has held up well, often better than the subsequent blue moquette.

You are right about that grey moquette a couple of the ALX200 Darts at Dewsbury 190 and 198 carried theirs throughout their lives. I must admit that some depots appear to have much tidier buses than others or should that be take more care with them than others

Your news about some refurbished Presidents at Selby came in really handy today. I reached Leeds coach station just before 9am, then picked up a few timetables. Then, as I noticed the 402 due at 9.20 I looked out for it. Sure enough, it was refurbished President 679! I caught other refurbished buses too, namely ALX400 662, ALX200 165 and MPD 201. So, coupled with the refurbished Renown last April, I think I have done an example of every Arriva Yorkshire type where any have been refurbished.

I guess 260-2 are a unique batch being 10.1m ALX200s. I doubt they will be refurbished for some time being 55-reg. As it is, I can make do with the 10.7m example 165. However, I shall watch out in case these are refurbished, especially if they are cascaded to the "main" Arriva Yorkshire fleet!

In that case the HB Publications book is wrong for describing 260-62 as being ALX200. Come to think of it, the ALX200 body had been axed by 2005 anyway so they probably meant Alexander Pointer. I thank you for confirming these are already retrimmed Timelesstable. In practice, I have seen some Pointers refurbished elsewhere, such as Bolton and St Helens, so may manage one closer to home in due course.
I hope more existing buses like Volvo B7TLs are refurbished. I realise refurbished LF Spectras may be a few years away yet, and that Step Spectras are unlikely to be refurbished now.

Another thread here has featured news of a Spectra refurbished, potentially 714. If any others are refurbished, feel free to report them here, thanks!

On Monday you reported in the Withdrawals thread Penfold that LF Spectras 700-23 are to be refurbished. As these happen, can anyone report them here please? Thanks!

I am particularly surprised at the Commander being retrimmed/ refurbished. I reckon I shall next visit Leeds in February or March, so can watch out for this or a Spectra being refurbished.

You would be surprised at the condition of the seats on some of the Arriva Yorkshire Buses especially at one of their depots

Judging by the number of single deckers on the 202/203 recently, I wonder if I can suggest that the Darwen Olympus buses are all being refurbished/repainted at a pace?

Noticed Lowlander 1608 in Heckmondwike this morning. Exceptionally bright and shiny. Full repaint perhaps?.

Rode on 714 yesterday (first time i've seen it since it left Castleford). Does look really smart after it's recent refurb i must say. The new style seat material is a major improvement.

Just look at the seats on Renown 109, the Low Floor Spectras and any unfrurbished ALX400's at Castleford I am due at some stage to ride Grand Central to Pontefract and connect with some Arriva buses in the area. However, as so few have evidently been refurbished I may kick this into the long grass. It seems the new Pulsar 2s have had little impact on Castleford's allocation?

I didn't think Castleford's fleet was that bad? Just about all of the B7TLs have been refurbished, 6 out of the 7 B10s have been done as have the 3 W reg darts. Then there's the new Pulsars and the Tempos which are only 3 years old. The Spectras are supposedly off to Wakefield soon so there's only the awful ALX300s and the MPDs that let the fleet down
