At 5.20, on Monday, in Bradford City Centre...
came the
First Group, Volvo B7RLE 66738, it was on the 576 heading into Bradford Interchange.(Unbranded, and Huddersfield allocated. It is usually found on First Huddersfield services 328, 370 371)
When I reached the Interchange (Walking from Uni), I saw the Next 576 being served by Volvo B7TL/Orange line branded 503 Gemini (Think it was 32523?)

I once saw L25GAN 30735 on 508 one Saturday a while back, I went on it. I know that 508 can sometimes see some unfamiliar characters, I will keep an eye out. A First Leeds F42-GWG scania has once been seen on there as well!

A few workings here, all from around 11.30 - 12.45 yesterday at Huddersfield bus station.
First Halifax Northern Counties Olympian 30666 (F170XYG) working the 503 Halifax service (Orange Line). First Hudds Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo 66792 (YK05SOJ) working the 363 to Bradford (Brown Line). Both these routes are normaly worked by route branded Geminis.
I dont know much about Arriva double deckers but Optare Spectra 720 (YD02PVW) was working the 229 to Leeds. This is normaly worked by single deckers and older double deckers.

Just been looking through my shots from Huddersfield bus station taken a few months back and found a pic of 66792 working the 363 with its guide arms so nothing unusual there. Thanks jackh.
Another couple of workings from today both of which where noted at around 12.40 at Huddersfield bus station.
First Hudd Northern Counties Olympian 31739 (H138FLX) was working the 315 Honley/Oldfield. This is normally worked by Royales branded for the Holmfirth Connection.
I also sore the rarest bus I have ever seen at Huddersfield to date. First Manchester Optare Prisma bodied Mercedes Benz 60443 (P542BSS) was working the 184 to Manchester. The 184 is part of the Purple line and is normally operated by route branded Wright Eclipse Urban Volvos.

R925WOE 31764 was today (3/10/07) on 97 route. I saw it in Guiseley, which was odd since it has a uni-link livery now. I was expecting one of the uni-link buses to end up on the wrong route.

On 26th September Arriva were using "Connecting Kirklees" double deckers, "Connecting Hemsworth" single deckers and the new "Connecting Dewsbury and Wakefield" single deckers on 126/127 service. So far I have only seen the new 126/127 liveried vehicles off route on the 283 service.

There was also a Strider on the 42 as well, however, I didn't take note of the fleetnumber or registration.

I get the feeling from First Leeds that every bus is seen as a bus and nothing more
Hence why there is no song and dance when new buses get delivered, no route branding etc, the Geminis can be often found on school services etc

I agree with you when you say there is no route branding e.t.c. I was in Manchester last week, and most of there buses have Overground branding on them, advertising that the buses run every 10mins, the cost of First Day/Week ticket and the key places they serve on that particular route.
It almost seems to me that First Leeds arean't bothered about trying to attract more people to use the bus rather than their car.

Well First only applied bubble branding to some of the ALX400's for the 56 in Leeds, however, half of the time they are on the wrong route and have let the branding get in a right state with vinyls peeling off the bus.
First said that they would apply branding to 37021-42 and 32692-97 for the 51/51A or the 42 and also put information posters on the coving panels inside the buses, but they have not.
I also doubt the B9TLs been branded as they are used on four overground routes which interwork. Don't know how that would look, but can assume it will be hurtful to the eye!
