I doubt it'll happen. What routes are there that they could be used on?

I have just heard that the Streetcars currently operating in York are leaving shortly and going to Leeds. Does anyone know if this is correct? With the impending move of Cherry's fleet to Hunslet and Bramley, both garages will be filled to capacity. I can't see there being room for any more purple slugs.

Isn't the passenger demographic of the 4 on the eastern section in York students?

And the Bendis currently on the 1 were seen as the flagship of the fleet when they were first introduced

The 4 in Leeds isn't the best of routes with the estates it goes on. Look at the interiors of the FTRs, they're still spotless. They've been quite well respected inside by passengers. Its just those tw*ts who think its funny to put the windows through that are the problem for them. Maybe they would work on the 1, maybe thats why we haven't seen some of the ex-york Wrights out in service.

Not saying it isn't, but still people brand these areas as bad ones and yet the FTRs aren't vandalised like other buses.

I very much doubt the rumour reported about the ftr's in York. First entered a Quality Partnership with the City Council, who then spent money on infrastructure to accomodate the buses. I believe this was for five years initially, so it would probably be 2011 before this issue will be reviewed.

I guess York will one day replace FTR's with Citaro's.

Well the FTR's aren't been used as much and cost alot to operate. They will one day be on the scrap heap. Remember the Intercity APT train ?

I have just been informed that all the last Leylands at Bradford, the K-LAE Northern Counties bodied ex-Bristol Olympians, have all been parked up at the top of Bowling Back Lane Depot and are awaiting transfer to First Devon and Cornwall. Parked at the top of the yard are: 34616 to 34621 K616-621LAE. The two which were at Halifax, 34620 and 34621 have returned back to Bradford and are also awaiting disposal. Also withdrawn and awaiting disposal for scrap is Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 30784 L604PWR.

What about Huddersfield based Volvo B7TL/Alexander ALX400 30852 W707CWR? I have seen this bus in Halifax and was operating on service 576 two days ago!

According to my records the following buses which were allocated to Halifax were stored at Volvo Truck and Bus at Birstall:
30786 R606JUB, 30787 R607JUB, 30790 R610JUB, 30791 R611JUB, 30796 R616JUB, 30797 R617JUB, 34045 P245UCW, 34047 P247UCW.
Of these, all have been reinstated at Bradford apart from Royales 30786 and 30787. Are these still at Volvo?
