I noticed a Northern Counties Palatine 2 bodied bus on the 670 last night at first I thought it was one of Huddersfield's 2 ex-London Volvo Olympians but it had a Cummins engine not Volvo, where did it come from?

So I guess this is the end for any remaining WYPTE Olympians in service at Bradford.

It was on 670 today as well.
Bit of an odd choice for a transfer as my understanding is that the Palatine double decker is a notorious rot-box, with a penchant for their back ends sagging.
What does Bradford loose in exchange?

I think some more of the G..OWR Olympians going to schools and the Roe and Optare bodied Olympians either being scrapped or preserved

What does Bradford loose in exchange? I suspect Bradford Council and Metro are putting First under pressure due to the look of some of the older vehicles, I suspect they want first to make the fleet more attractive and modern before the low floor vehicles arrive, and these buses fit this requirement until low floor buses become available for transfer or even to buy.

It's just normal fleet cascades when another area gets new buses releasing older buses, nothing special

They actually look pretty suited to the 670, and slightly similar to the Royales in my opinion.

Thanks, Jack.
The 'poor man's Spectra' comment is a bit harsh. I love the look of the Palatine 2
