Bramley Depot must of been short of Customer Hosts as Alexander ALX400s 30941 and 30944 were on the ftr4 service today. The destinations still alternate between the terminus and Olive Line. You would of thought somebody at First would have reprogrammed the 4 destinations on normal buses to show "ftr replacement" alternating between the destination.

Lots of 'Broken' down buses today in leeds.
Striders were out in full force, 1 and others. Looks like the headingley corridor suffoured worst though.

The Striders apart from the vibrations when stationery provide a better ride than the older Wright Axcess-ultralows which appear to have no suspension with rattling and the body flexing over uneven road surfaces.
In a way, the Strider is a symbolic bus of the county as it was developed in partnership with Yorkshire Rider for the Superbus project on the Scania N113CRB chassis. Theres more of them here than anywhere else in the county with Arriva, Blazefield and First owning them on various chassis.

Indeed, it was the partnership between Alexander and YR that gave it the name StRIDER.

I understand that to most people, a bus is a bus to them as long as it gets them to their destination. But, the ftr in First's eyes a quality bus service so if they're unable to put a StreetCar out and replace it with a normal service bus, in terms of customer service, it seems a reasonable idea to have the buses destination to alternate between the terminus and "ftr replacement".

Still can't believe that they allocate Dennis Darts to the 202/203. Saw one on Dewsbury Road the other evening around 7pm completely packed, although there seems to always be at least one Lowlander in an accident.

Indeed, it was the partnership between Alexander and YR that gave it the name StRIDER. Yes that's right, and it's the reason West Riding/Yorkshire Woollen (as they were then) refused to have the Strider badge applied to any of their vehicles as it would be seen to be advertising a competitor.

Stagecoach unusually had a "frequento" branded Dennis Trident on the X62 today into Leeds. Now some of these Tridents based at Hull do have tachographs fitted so their appearances into Leeds may become more common.

A First Bradford Orange Line(er) seen in Leeds bus station it was either on the 15 or the 670 around dinner time.
Wish I say that Trident on the X62 bet it didn't stay on it for long.

On Friday 1st on the 571 out of Bradford Interchange they were using a Merc Minibus style contracption.
Sounds on its way out either shocker or drive shaft problems.

so many misallocations today seen a Volvo olympian 30245 on 16, another volvo olympian and a lance were on 254 in Leeds. What happened to the new B7RLE eclipse , they've gone on other routes. i've already seen a brand new eclipse on 256 in Bradford Interchange. (maybe they should have included in the branding lol)
