Weren't the park and ride buses funded by WYCA for specifically the "park and ride routes". They are exactly the same as any other Streetdeck in Leeds The difference is they aren't First Buses funding, it's WYCAs pretty sure tax money was also given to Metro to fund the park and ride scheme. If there is spare park and ride lying about to do regular services then fair enough but B9s and unbranded buses have ended up doing Park and Rides whilst the actual Park and Rides get wrecked on council estate routes which is actually quite disrespectful for Metro who brought them for a new scheme launched meant to improve Leeds.

I'm sure the public won't care if a Park and Ride bus turned up on a normal route, only people who seem to have an issue with this is bus enthusiasts.
How about if Park and Ride buses broke down before leaving the depot, hence they had to send a B9 out? and once the Park and Ride bus was fixed, and another bus broke down, and all that was spare was the Park and Ride
Don't blame First for buses being damaged, blame the people who damage them.
A bus is a bus at the end of the day.

The vehivles aren't WYCA's asset. WYCA secured funding for them from the DFT and are likely to have included that funding as a lump sum in the contract. First then went out and bought vehicles to meet theirs & WYCA's specification.

Saw AY 1573 on the 149 earlier, quite unusual but Streetdecks do the odd working from time to time.
Also saw 1072 on the 444 yesterday - not totally unheard of but a relatively rare working all the same.

rodneytrotter stephen01 Yes the driver is OK, a bit shaken up, but OK. I don't know the cause, but obviously, an internal investigation will take place
