So the 372 goes onto a 15-15-17-16 M-Fri & 20-24-22 Saturday daytime frequency pattern, I'm assuming that's to save a bus on the PVR with a roundtrip being about an hour & it needing some layover in Huddersfield. I'm not too fussed about those weird frequencies I think for the first time in a long, long time the route is extremely close to the timetable it deserves and if it means tolerating generated sloppy timetables? I'll take it Hopefully other people will be as happy as you are, the people I know who live on the route are still not overly pleased. I don't think the sloppyness was due to the AI timetabling in this case, but due to wanting to keep the PVR down (guessing they couldn't find a route to interwork with)

That 590/1/2 timetable is shocking. Excessive running time everywhere. A right mess, different times every hour just can't fathom how you could look at that and think it's good.

Can't imagine what my 586 will be as it is down on VOSA. Every 1 hour and 37 mins and ¾ seconds every other day except Tuesdays and on a full moon that falls on Friday the 14th. And because they run 365 days a year apart from Christmas & New Year Bank Holidays, there will be no service on February 29th.

What I cannot tell is whether Halifax Bus Station is fully reopening then or not.

Get the significantly revised 590/591/592 timetables too please if you can... Honestly if they wanted the every 20 minute timetable what would have been best is 589 every hour, 590 every hour and 2 592s an hour with 1 terminating at Tod from Halifax, and one at Burnley from Fax.

also 373 strangely making a comeback. the 373 has been operating as NC, but absolutely nothing is shown in Huddersfield Bus Station, so students regularly use the 370/371, hopefully that will change soon

So, maybe most buses will use Halifax bus station - at least terminating buses with the possible exception of some Team Pennine.

At the minute it seems like they're squashing all these services into the ten stands. As currently stands are remaining empty with no usage or with 1 bus an hour.

I haven’t been to Halifax for a number of weeks, have they made much progress finishing the road layout on the other side?

If you look at Stand A you can see that there is a path connecting to the stairs to Wade Street so presumably this will be suitable for when National Express, 549 and 501/X1 pick up outside of bus station operating hours.

The map shows it as running via king Street and Bailey Hall, not Water Lane. Hopefully, somebody will think to put some bus stops somewhere along the "new" route!

Well that's good it means there will be no vehicle height restrictions, should make the allocators job easier to only worry about 548 compared to 541/2 and 549 as of now. In terms of bus stops, there are some really ideal places to put a bus stop. First of all I think there should be an extra bus stop on Wade Street outside Sainsbury's with the 543 running along there towards Siddal then a drop off point should be King Street Car park. Other ideal places would be next to Halifax Minister/Matalan, outside the Nestle factory, and at the bottom of Jubilee Street.

It’s quite interesting that the Mixenden and Illingworth services look to be serving the bus station only and not going via the town centre.
I bet there will be complaints as they’ve gone from King Edward Street for years even though the bus station will obviously improve the waiting environment

Ever since the the bus station has shut its been really amusing when people see the bus drive off on King Edward Street and say they can walk to George Square quicker than it takes to go around. Also 511/3 (previously 512 pellon lane side) always used to use the bus station but as well as both sides on evenings and Sundays but for the illingworths it could be quite the loss

There doesn’t seem to be any that could end at Halifax and there is a new 23:55 Halifax to Todmorden Yes for the first time in just over 20 years all the buses will be run from Todmorden. Although a slight error with the new running boards, one of the 2 boards gained from Halifax has a trip to Mixenden on it, which next to no drivers know but it will be taken off before the changes.
