As part of the mayoral fare changes, First Bus will be changing their fares too from the 4th September. Single fares will be capped at £2.00 or less and return tickets at £4.00 or less. The FirstDay ticket will be reduced from £5.20 to £4.50 (same price as the MetroDay on MCard/app) and will remain valid on the 184 to Oldham, the 590 to Rochdale and 591/592 to Burnley, meaning cheaper journeys will also apply to cross-county buses into Greater Manchester or Lancashire. Meanwhile, the tap on, tap off fares will be capped at £4.50 for a day for anyone who travels 3 or more journeys a day for up to 3 days in a row, while the caps for days 4 and 5 are reduced to £16 and £18 respectively. Anyone who taps on/off for 6 or 7 days will be capped at a weekly ticket price of £20. A single journey will cost £2. The 3 day flexi ticket will be brought down from £14 to £13.50, making it the same price as 3 day tickets at £4.50 each. 5 day flexi ticket remains at £18. www.firstbus.co.uk/halifax-calder-valley-huddersfield/news-and-service-updates/planned-changes/west-yorkshire-fare

Reading the link they say ‘We will accept other operators' Day tickets on our buses’ so I assume they will begin accepting for example K Day or Arriva day tickets on First buses from 4th September. However provided your not travelling out of the West Yorkshire boundary I.e to Oldham/Rochdale purchasing a Metro Day would make most sense.
