I think the discussion of demise of the Skyclass on the X98/9 has been premature. Three of them have been out there this week, together, so three still exist. Maybe the fourth will also come out to play, once today's service cancellations have passed.
It now seems more likely that they were just broken (again) and were in the depot awaiting parts and labour time, and now that they have been fixed, they are back out there.

1867 has been painted into Transdev Go base livery and delivered to Harrogate.. 1867 is tracking today on the X98, just worked its first journey - hopefully it will last longer than Wednesday when it was failed at Wetherby after its third working leading to some services being pulled until 1838 arrived.

H10ESU might have gone for scrap, but it's 17 year old sister, H18 is on the X99 route today. The cancellations are back today! The 13:36 from Wetherby and the 14:33 from Leeds are being shown as cancelled on Transdev's site.

H18ESU is a June 2007 vehicle so 16 years not 17 - along with rest of the HxxESU reg vehicles it was heavilly refurbished in 2016. The one that has been scrapped was the single decker that was originally bought for quieter 36 duties in 2004 to full, as could be applied to single decker, 36 spec where it was pretty unpopular when it turned up the peaks and got sent to Burnley to be thrashed for a while on the X43 to Manchester where no doubt it was equally unpopular . It returned to Harrogate in 2012 as spare vehicle before the 2016 refurb which saw its leather seats removed.

It was fairly well received at Burnley, though a fair bit of money was thrown at it at Queensgate to get it up to scratch mechanically only for Harrogate to take it back soon afterwards. That went down well....

Lead to believe there was a serious RTC on the main drag between Harrogate - Ripon involving the 36 yesterday. Does anyone know which one was involved?

Sounded nasty Three people lost there life and all your bothered about is if the bus is repairable have some respect I just looked through this thread and saw that a 36 bus had been damaged and in the post I looked at it didn't say anyone was injured so I didn't realise. Maybe he has done the same thing. He's just asked a question, not disrespecting anyone!

The bus was northbound, both cars southbound on a section of the A61 that is, like most if it, a single lane in each direction. Immediately round the bend their as short section of two lanes southbound. The police have asked for dashcam footage of the cars before the acccident which is a pretty clear indication that the bus was the innocent party in the incident. I presume their is quite clear and harrowing video of the accident from the cameras on the bus.

Another accident at South Stainley which, if not involved, has seriously hampered 3616s progress on the 1525 from Ripon. Hopefully not, as the last thing Starbeck needs is another off the road.
Edit - thankfully 3616 was just stuck in the resultant traffic jam. It finally made it to Harrogate just under 3hours at 1823

WYIS are reporting that 62 reg Geminis 2427 and 2428 (originally Coastliner 427 and 428) are to move from Burnley to Starbeck once Envrio 400s 2016 and 2018 arrive, in order that Enviro 400s 2015 and 2017 can be repainted and also moved to Burnley.

Its taken some time but 2018 has finally entered service at Burnley yesterday, being used on the X43. Today it tried to return but only got to Skipton a number of times.

And 2016 is now in use as Burnley so Gemini 2s 2427 and 2428 should be heading east to Starbeck very soon to allow for 2015 and 2018 be repainted and moved to Burnley

Don't you mean 2017? That is still there on X98 duty today.

Yes - typo 2017 and 2015 were left at Starbeck. 2015 has now gone for repaint. Have seen a comment elsewehere that 2019 is also going to Burnley with Malton receiving a B9TL in exchange but Burnley now has only one dual pupose seated B9TL 2427 which is earmarked for Starbeck to allow 2017 to move.

During the day, the X99 seems to have settled on single deckers from the 1800 numbering series and the X98 has 2017 and varying B7 and 9 double deckers from 55 to 62 plates (2428 today).
