The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Diesel Gala will begin tomorrow (10th June) and run until Sunday (12th June). A few interesting locomotives will visit, with some having arrived already. Modern locomotives 68004 from Direct Rail Services, and a Class 70 provided by Freightliner will join: 33012 'Lt Jenny Lewis RN' 33202 'Dennis G Robinson' 50026 'Indomitable' as well as a selection of the home fleet. kwvr.co.uk/event/diesel-gala/2022-06-10/Attachments:

Direct Rail Services' 68004 'Rapid' leads 37075 out of Keighley, having just arrived for the 2022 Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Diesel Gala. This is the first time a class 68 has visited the line. Attachments:

Freightliner 70020 leads 33202 out of Haworth on its first run of the day. I believe this is the first time a class 70 has visited a heritage line. Attachments:

The Keighley & Worth Valley's home tractor: 37075 approaches Oxenhope Station with plenty of 'bashers' hanging out of each side of the carriages (many who look far too young to have been around in the heyday and were merely a twinkly in their Father's eye). New Engine Desperados, or something to that effect? Attachments:

Class 33 D6515 'Lt Jenny Lewis RN' is seen here at Haworth. This engine must be a contender for the best looking locomotive currently on the preservation scene. Its sparklingly clean paintwork was the talk of the gala. A real pride to those who look after it. Attachments:
