So I was in Huddersfield bus station on Monday and I remembered that 231/232 was shared with D1 stand in Huddersfield. When I checked on Monday it was fully branded for Denby Darts. As well there is at least 2-3 E200MMCs on the route (depending on what Wakefield decides to put on it) and sometimes it's even E200 minis. And sometimes the frequency drops from 30 for a 232 to an hour. Does anyone have an explanation what could be happening?

There were some errors with timetables at stops last time I was in the Huddersfield. For example the Holmfirth stand only had the timetable for the 308 and (I think) 310, though the 314 & 316 also stop there. In terms of allocations; I think it's just Arriva being Arriva. They've never appeared to be particularly pendantic about having correctly allocated buses for as long as I can remember.

Yeah it just seems odd how they remove the branding inside the bus station unless it was my eyes but I'm sure I couldn't see it. I know know 232 was hourly I meant as if that doesn't show up or anything then then passengers would wait another 30 mins for the 231. I sorta feel like the Huddersfield to Wakefield is mostly lacking out of all of the sapphire routes. Like it started strong when they began operating it but i feel like it's losing its potential now

Like it started strong when they began operating it but i feel like it's losing its potential now I luckily don't have to use them as a commuter, but I have had some really bad experiences when out and about in that area. Plenty of cancellations; some journeys being cancelled at the very last minute even after the bus has arrived onto the stand, and silly allocations as you mention, meaning that journeys run with a full load.

I think they could capitalise on the lack of trains and make at least one of them a lot more direct. I took the 232 last night (sapphire double decker) and it zig zapped through so many villages without stopping and took a while between the 2 cities

Just stay on the main road all the way even if its just a few morning and evening trips

Rode them on Saturday, 2 of the Enviro 200 MMCs were trashed through, completely vandalised.

It is interesting to note that I have noticed there aren't many end to end passengers. People can't get the train, so they either drive or just don't bother going from one to the other at all.

An express route could be going direct without going through Lepton, Emley etc could be benefical and would restore a service to the National Coal Mining Muesem.

Yeah I usually do go end to end. Its gets busy from one end then doesn't for the other like I see at least 5 ppl inside and thats it. I could catch train but that's more costly plus the Huddersfield - Castleford is rail replacement so I don't see any use to use that either. If it was train and was quicker then I would but it doesn't appeal to my eyes. It's a shame how 231/232 is as it stands now. I just hope they try to make it more appealing or even better overall. Its not just that though, the USBs doesn't even work on the E200mmcs like they are advertised.
