I was travelling through Weeton the other day and noticed that, walking wise, it's quite far from the village itself. The road is also very dangerous to walk along so it's not exactly that accessible unless you have a car. As an additional quirk, Weeton station is also located in Huby, so why can't it be re-named Huby as that would be more logical especially to someone needing to visit Weeton.
There is also Clapham in North Yorkshire, quite far from the village if you don't drive, and again along a once quiet but now dangerous road, complete with idiots that like to take full advantage of 60 plus mph nowadays. I think Cattal is another village far from it's station under similar circumstances.
Then you've got Sherburn in Elmete, it's got a station, however in reality it's quite far out, so much so that most people are probably closer to South Milford station.
What other places are far from stations they serve?

Howden is a good mile away from the station. Also served by Hull Trains for some reason.

Howden is a good mile away from the station. Also served by Hull Trains for some reason. The Press Association has a big presence in Howden, so a direct link to London would be of benefit, so it is worth Hull Trains stopping there: pamediagroup.com/PA, Bridgegate, Howden, East Yorkshire, DN14 7AE, United Kingdom From Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howden"In late 2003 the Press Association (PA) completed building work on what it calls its 'Operations Centre', despite notable opposition from the residents of Howden, and it stands on the site of the old Georgian police station. This left Howden without a police presence in the town until late 2005. The building was officially opened by Prince Charles, continuing Howden's relations with the Royal family. PA has several hundred employees, most of whom have been brought into the town from Leeds and London, at this building and others in the town. The local public transport facilities have proved inadequate for many staff who commute, as much of the work is done round the clock. This has led to considerable strain being put on Howden's parking facilities, leading to the creation of a Controlled Parking Zone embracing most of the central area of the town."

It's not a million miles away, but New Pudsey is not exactly in Pudsey. Should be called Farsley or Stanningley.

As discussed elsewhere in the forum it was the first “Parkway” station, before the term was used in that sense. There has been talk of moving the station further towards Leeds to bring in easier to walk to Farsley, Stanningley and the stores, but nothing came of this.

Steeton & Silsden seems more closer to Steeton than Silsden

It's not a million miles away, but New Pudsey is not exactly in Pudsey. Should be called Farsley or Stanningley. New Pudsey was built to be used as a Park & Ride facility, hence why the car park is giant and there is a Concourse with a ticket office and toilets. The station is meant to take cars off the road and people drive to the station from Stanningley By-pass.

Steeton & Silsden seems more closer to Steeton than Silsden Yes, that's why Steeton is first in the station name. That's usually how it works with stations with the names of two places in them (see also, in times past, Alfreton and Mansfield Parkway and Ripponden and Barkisland).

Ravensthorpe station on the Huddersfield to Leeds line is actually located in Thornhill. Not a problem exiting the station for Ravensthorpe as it's all downhill on Calder Road, but a bit of a hike back uphill.

Probably a more well known one, but Seamer is station to Crossgates (Scarborough) and Eastfield than it is Seamer. Supposedly to avoid confusion with Cross Gates in Leeds.
