Could be or it could be e200MMCs for X1 and Tempos on the 324 & Huddsquick 319 & 360 Hasn't it been mentioned in numerous articles it's the Tempos that are going on the X1. Also there are baby solos being refurbished too some people have forgot about, wonder what routes these baby solos are going on. 361 & 362 (as where) will more than likely be for the Calderdale network with the Stratas. There's actually been NO confirmation what the Tempos are off on only confirmation on the first day of service they were of for refurb and would be back ready for changes in September. Up to the takeover the Holmfirths were usually ran with all Centros or mix of Centro, Cadet and Scania with Solos but very rarely Tempos (the versas were used more than tempos on there as were 721 & 722 (AY 261 & 262 as where)).

Oh dear, Tempo's on the X1, I hope they sort out performance issues otherwise lateness will be a real problem on a tight timetable. I was very unimpressed with either 1300 or 1301 on a 435 a few months ago, very slug like on hills.

Pretty long dwells at Wakefield, note the 0925 departure presumably will be by the 0837 arrival with the 0920 arrival working the 1025 departure thereafter there is just under a 40 minute turn round until early evening.

busfan, I have defo been on Tempos as recently as late last year on the 435 etc, I remember them well as I was very unimpressed at how late I arrived into Holmfirth one day, it was something like 10 to 15 minutes down on a route with zero traffic and just one pick up/drop off along the way. I know some say dwell times in Wakefield are good, but it ain't going to help those on the route expecting it to turn up on time when it starts to run later and later. Drivers wanting to take up the full break allowance in Wakefield won't be impressed either lol.

It was certainly the case when Centrebus originally won it that it was common for buses to be parked up in Wakefield for 40 or 50 minutes btween trips at certain points in the day. What this means is that if Transdev are doing a major change to the timetable there is plenty of slack to adjust the timetable to reflect the performance of the vehicles being used to produce a robust schedule.

Slightly surprised with the Holmfirth Explorer logo on the timetable as I would have thought having Explorer in capitals would then have allowed the X and the l of P to be highlighted in different colour so tying the number to with the name.

I thought Optare Solos are a non standard on Transdev. They got rid of the Rosso ones or maybe only the baby solos are being refurbed as they are probably the best solos to offer. They may throw the ex Calder Cub Solos in to that offer too. They are keeping 2/3rds of the old fleet Solos were pretty non standard at Rosso, but they aren't non standard at Yorkshire Tiger, they amounted to about half the fleet

When and why have all the Tempos lost their power? I seem to recall that when the 4 new Tempos were delivered to Centrebus (I think 776-779), they had the MAN 290 bhp engines and were some of the fastest buses around. I remember 'storming up' from Sowerby Bridge to King Cross on one of these vehicles when they were new. So, I presume they have been re-engined / derated / lowered emissions etc to now have the current position. Information please. Thanks.

Be interesting to see what Firsts response will eventually be to the higher spec and profile buses on the 319/324.

I can see them knocking the 514/524 on the head, they are always empty past sandbeds road, Most passengers use first as a direct route to mixenden Metro runs those services as contracted and the service 524 is commonly used between Halifax and Ovenden. They won't cut that service. Also at peak hours it can get busy towards Wainstalls. The thing about being empty past sandbeds road is a lie. A lot of people use the service to Mount Tabor as the 512 is often full, honestly, can't see them cancelling it. As well as this, it provides a frequency of every 20 minutes to Mount Tabor that there used to be on service 512. Busplayz I take offence to you calling me a liar about buses running past my house empty i see them every day. But looking on other forums it seems you have pattern of upsetting other users, to say you have been on here for less then a week.

From 5th September Hunslet's 51/52 will be moving to Bramley, and I believe Bramley's 74/75 will be going the other way.

Right, OK.
This thread is in danger of deteriorating like the Tiger/Transdev thread and that will not happen.
Can I kindly request that all members read (or reread) the Forum Rules.
As a moderator, I try to stay in background and only get involved when necessary, but lately this has become increasingly difficult.
It would be hugely helpful if we could all try to avoid conflict with others as much as possible and keep this place informative and not feeling like it is being ruled with a rod of steel.
If something rude, aggressive or offensive is said, don't reply in kind. Report the post for myself or Craig to act upon. Arguments are just a waste of energy. We should be enjoying the interaction with others who share our hobby and interests, not arguing amongst ourselves.
Thank you.

Their operating area will now stretch from North West Leeds almost to the border with Greater Manchester! Take it they'll outstation some of the coaches as it'll be a long way from Guiseley to Todmorden for example.

Latest update from Connecting Leeds suggests that the Park and Ride at Stourton will open on 6 September. Although not announced, I assume that PR3 will start operating on the same day.

It’s a tad unusual Arriva Yorkshire running Halifax area school services
Although seeing Arriva liveried double deckers running Halifax area school services won’t be unusual as Yorkshire Tiger have done that for years!
